🍻 Friday Nights at Old Colwyn Golf Club! 🍽️

Make the most of the lighter evenings while they last! We are running our regular weekly Friday night bar and food for the next four weeks, wrapping up our weekly summer schedule on the 25th of September.

Here is what we have planned for this month:

Fridays 4th, 11th & 18th Sept: The bar and kitchen will be open from 4pm to 10pm, with Cath serving up her fantastic menu meals.

Friday 25th Sept (The Weekly Finale!): We are finishing the weekly run with an unbeatable offer! From 4pm to 10pm, grab a delicious hot plate of food (think curry, chilli, or a great veggie option...Cath is finalising the menu soon!) PLUS a pint, all for just £10! 😁👍

What happens next?
To keep everyone connected over the winter, we will be transitioning to a special once-a-month opening. We have quizzes, card nights, and more currently in the works, so keep your eyes peeled for upcoming dates and info!

We might not be the biggest club in North Wales, but we certainly have a big heart. Our ultimate goal is to build a vibrant community that extends far beyond the fairways, and your support online is what makes that possible.

Growing our following is incredibly important to us. It helps us reach new people, explore exciting partnerships, and support all areas of our local area. As we grow, we are actively looking to do even more with local businesses, community groups, and charities to give back to the town we love.

🏆 The Albatross Trophy – Sunday 30th August 🦅

What a day! This Sunday brought us a true mix of Welsh weather...rainy, blustery, and sunny...but above all, it was a wonderfully happy day on the course. 🌦️☀️

This very special tournament is held in proud commemoration of Tony Jones, our former Captain and President.

The trophy celebrates his legendary and (so far!) unequalled achievement of scoring an incredible Albatross on our Par 5 1st hole during competitive play. A fantastic legacy to honour! ⛳️

A massive congratulations to all our winners from the day, especially our Albatross Open Winning Pair and a fantastic new course record:

Friday the 28th of August brought us a properly blowy, blustery, and rainy day on the coast, but our members didn't let the Welsh weather dampen their spirits...or their scoring!

🦅 The Albatross Open (Invitation Day) ⛳️

We are incredibly excited to announce our upcoming Invitation Day, The Albatross Open, taking place on Sunday, August 30th!

This special tournament is being played in commemoration of Tony Jones (former Captain and President of OCGC) and his magnificent, unequalled achievement of scoring an albatross on the 1st hole in competitive play!

A massive thank you to Mark Jones for kindly sponsoring the event. Thanks to his generosity, lunch will be provided for all players, along with late-night snacks, an evening presentation, prize giving, and a silent disco! 🪩🍔

We ask that, where possible, all members invite a guest to play with them on the day. This is the perfect opportunity to showcase all the fantastic improvements that have been made to Old Colwyn Golf Club recently!

The Need-to-Know Details:

Entry Fee: Just £10.00 per pair! (Bookings are now available on BRS).

Teams: Open to teams of two (One full playing member and one invited guest).

Format: Better Ball format. However, there is a twist—both players' scores will count on the 1st and 10th holes!

⚠️ Important Action Required:
Once you have booked your tee time, please ensure you provide us with your guest’s Name, Handicap, and CDH number before the day. We need this information in advance so we can get them added to the computer system before the competition tees off! 👍🏻

Let’s get those tee times booked up and make it a brilliant day. See you on the 30th!
