’Twas the night before race day, and all through the house,
Not a triathlete slept; not even my spouse!
My Trisuit was hung by the doorway with care, In hopes that I look fast as F*ck and no helmet hair!

The bike was positioned gleaming with pride, (thanksSlickwhips ltd )
While visions of podiums danced in my stride.

With chamois cream packed and my gels in a row,I wondered quite frankly, “Why do I do this, though?”

The swim might be cancelled , the bike might be grim, The run could get ugly when energy’s slim.

Yet come race-day morning, I’ll strut to the start, With nerves in my stomach and hope in my heart.

So wish me good luck as I chase this mad dream—May I look fast in photos, regardless of speed.

’Twas the night before race day, and all through the house,
Not a triathlete slept; not even my spouse!

💚🧡OUTLAW ORIGINAL WEEKEND! 💚🧡

Some of The Pendle Tri crew are heading back to Outlaw Triathlon Original once again… and yes, we’re all absolutely gutted that the swim has been called off thanks to the blue-green algae.
Safe to say nobody had “racing pond soup” on their race plan. 🤢🌿

But… we’re not letting it steal the weekend.

Massive respect to the incredible Outlaw family and team, who’ve worked tirelessly to deliver another brilliant event despite Mother Nature throwing a curveball. It remains one of the friendliest, best-organised races on the calendar, and we’re proud to be part of it.

To everyone racing this weekend: don’t dwell on what could have been. Focus on the race that’s in front of you.
Adapt, dig deep and give it everything you’ve got.

Forget what might have been. Race what’s in front of you.

This weekend is YOU vs YOU.

Trust the training. Embrace the challenge. Dig a little deeper when it gets tough. High-five the marshals, thank the volunteers, soak up the atmosphere and remember why you signed up in the first place (because apparently paying to suffer seemed like a good idea at the time… 😉).

We’ll be shouting until we’re hoarse from our Pendle hill- home from home, you’ll spot us, give us a wave as you go past, celebrating every finish line and cheering every one of you on.
