⛳️ 72 HOLES. ONE DAY. ONE BRILLIANT CAUSE. 💚

On Wednesday 2nd September, Colne Golf Club member Daniel Buchanan and his friend will be taking on the Macmillan Longest Day Golf Challenge — playing an incredible 72 holes in a single day to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

That’s four full rounds of golf in one day… enough to make 18 holes feel like a quick knock! 😅

Macmillan is a charity that means a great deal to so many people, including members and families within our own Colne Golf Club community who have unfortunately needed their support.

We’d love to see the CGC community get behind Daniel and help him raise as much as possible. 💚

⛳️ CHARITY DAY FOR JOSEPH GAWTHROP ❤️

What a fantastic day we had at Colne Golf Club last Friday, coming together in support of our much loved members Joseph Gawthrop and Sam's Superheroes foundation.

A huge amount of work went into organising the day by Joseph’s mum and dad, Andrew & Lindsey Gawthrop, and we’re delighted to say that over £2,000 was raised for the charity! 👏👏

A massive thank you to everyone who played, donated, helped organise the day, contributed prizes or simply came along and supported. Days like this show what a brilliant community we have at Colne Golf Club. 💙

Sam’s Superheroes Foundation is the UK’s only registered charity dedicated to NORSE & FIRES — rare and devastating neurological conditions that can cause sudden, relentless seizures in previously healthy children and adults.

The charity helps to:
❤️ Fund vital research
❤️ Raise awareness of NORSE & FIRES
❤️ Provide specialist support for affected families

The fundraising doesn’t have to stop at £2,000 either!

Colne Golf Club is looking for experienced part-time bar staff to join our friendly and welcoming team.

If you enjoy working in a busy hospitality environment and take pride in delivering excellent customer service, we’d love to hear from you.

✅ Minimum 3 years’ recent bar experience preferred

✅ Cellar work experience advantageous (but not essential)

✅ 5–10 hours per week

✅ Weekday, evening and weekend shifts available

✅ Additional hours available for holiday cover, private functions and club events
