Foulridge CC 2nd XI vs Oswaldtwistle Immanuel CC 2nd XI

Foulridge 2nds were beaten by the narrowest of margins as Oswaldtwistle Immanuel claimed a dramatic 1-wicket win.

Batting first, Foulridge posted 125 all out from 38.4 overs, with F Mehmood producing the standout knock of 43 not out. There were also useful contributions from D Kelly (21) and J Springthorpe (11), but regular wickets meant Foulridge were unable to push on to a bigger total.

Defending 125, Foulridge made a real game of it. J Springthorpe led the attack with 4 wickets, while M Sajjad Rauf and F Mehmood picked up 2 wickets each, keeping the pressure on right until the end.

Oswaldtwistle eventually crept over the line on 126/9 from 33.2 overs, despite a fighting bowling display from Foulridge. A tough one to take, but plenty of effort and character shown.
