Just more reinforcement as to why food quality is hands down how we should structure our calories.

Macros and micros matter and the quality will be determined by that of our food quality.

STOP listening to the “eat what you want” crew that target the lazy in you that throw out that shiny “to good to be true” sales pitch that catches so many out !

Eat Well !!!

I never ever ever promote cheat meals (my clients will at some point do it themselves, that’s human nature)

I promote re feeds in the form of “More nutritional Food”

Should that be extra potato or un measured rice on a weekly meal a extra few grams on your steak or adding more fruit to a meal 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes these food will tip you over your calories (that’s the point of a refeed) BUT they won’t cause

- mad binges
- guilt
- stomach issues
- digestion problems for the next week

It will help recovery and only benefit you long term.

Refeeds are not rewards they are a super way to aid in fat loss consistency and using they wisely is key to long term success 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

What to .. stop the winter hibernation !

As darker evenings and mornings are here 😴

Activities like walking or just being out and about slip, >> them “fu** it” moments let’s go paddle boarding, let’s climb a mountain all stop and we sit inside more !

This is going to have huge impact on our NEAT (< daily movement that’s not classed as exercise “moving”

Sk you have 2 options, 1 - being that you should take better control of your nutrition to off set this lack of movement and the more lazy winter “light the fire” or staying in bed approach

2 - KEEP MOVING !! - attended another gym class, buy a thicker wet suit, get a good rain proof jacket and keep hiking.

You must take FULL control and action it’s also going to keep you in better spirits and keep the mind active and healthy.

Don’t let natures day light hours dictate your Weight or fitness goals!! It happens every year so using it as an excuse “it’s them old dark evenings” well guess what it’s going to continue for the rest of your days, so either take action or fail!

It’s not a surprise so arm yourself with positivity and discipline and a good walking partner who’s not made of sugar.

Supplement 🤷🏻‍♂️

An ever going trend is on the rise, of fancy supplements with shiny tins and pretty impressive claims as to their ability to help !

Most of it is smoke and mirrors and in reality going from yesterday’s post of keeping it basic there is very little to no requirement for 90% of them!

The main one I’d suggest staying away from and not letting yourself get sucked in by it’s marketing is anything that claims to be a fat Burner ! If you can’t do the basics that I cover frequently then there is little to no need for these in your life !

Plus they come with a hefty price tag. Be an adult do the basics and save yourself some ££

Things I would have in my arsenal for daily life and overall well-being !

Fish oil (of high grade) something like zinzino

Vitamin D taken in the morning 2000/4000iu

Vitamin C 1000mg daily

A greens supplement (if you don’t like eating greens)

A good multi vitamin (I’m a fan of Solgar)

Anyone training for performance with longer sessions I’d suggest a carb drink pre and peri workout (HR labs have a great product)

That’s basic .. it’s common for all and I’d suggest everyone getting them in the cabinet, protect the immune system keep the gut and mind healthy, keeping blood pressure down and them Joints oiled !

There are other useful supplements on the market but this is the start point and most never need to go past it… keep your money ! Spend it on something that’s going to Benefit you. Like a good coach !

One thing missing from any business plan …

Emotion !

Being told I was nominated numerous times for an award at the Veterans Awards tonight at first I though, “ 🙃not another business awards night”

Then I stopped and took in what It was actually for to win contribution to the fitness industry AND Entrepreneur of the year is mind blowing in this community

My past is no surprise to anyone who follows me
And it’s something I’m tremendously proud of not necessary for what I did as a soldier but for the Courage Discipline and Leadership it brought me.

Not to mention the band of brothers I served with and still have as close friends today.

So my business and emotion 🤯

Many will have seen the ups and downs over the years, but one major factor in getting to the point my business is now at was the mental resilience that war and being a leader brought me.

Yes it gave and continues to give me sleeps nights BUT Overall it’s Made me the human I am today.

So to be recognised from a past career in which I thrived to the career I am currently growing I cannot even describe the pride that gives me ❤️

I wrote this at a one point and was due to add it to body in the form of a tattoo when the time was right !

“For the soldier to dance and smile again … he must first understand himself and accept that love is real”

I’m one of the lucky ones to be dancing again and by winning this award I hope I can eventually help many who come after me to do the same.

Now to keep on Marching Forward in making my Business the best it possibly can by bringing more to the local community in terms of opportunists in health, fitness and employment opportunities ….

That time we turned inside out !

Ok so as FAT LOSS goes this is the top tier marks a coach himself and his mindset was 🔥🔥🔥 he nailed this and this was his goal !!!!

But what can we learn from this ?

What can the general population on a standard fat loss and health journey learn form this epic effort ?

1. He hired a coach to keep him accountable, marks a PT and more than capable education ways to diet and train himself. BUT He seen the value in outsourcing this job. He knew he needed direction and that helping hand when things went south!

2. Nutrition is 🔑 better food choices where made, the aim to get INFLAMTION down was golden and food education was fundamental to ensure progress. (Fat loss NOT weight loss)

BUT I hear you say I don’t want this extreme of a result … that’s fine … lessen your intesity but follow the principles set.

Someone saving £10 a week or someone saving £500 a week .. as long as your savings is relevant to your income then guess what ! YOURE BOTH saving to the best of your ability !

Just like fat loss BUT you must do something, to make it happen.

3. His support network was STRONG everyone got his goal his passion and his want to push himself … the they encouraged him and didn’t try to sobatge his ways 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 THIS IS VITAL ..

Make sure people around you KNOW what your intentions are and ask them for help !!

And anyone who is asked for help ! Put your own thoughts and alliterative motives aside and SUPPORT!

Do be that person that drags people down !!

🎩s off on this effort from mark in which we all can learn a lesson in self discipline, belief and motivation. Attritbutes thag carry over in evey day life not just for fat loss !!

We have only gone and made the half stone mark 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Wee E (my mum) ❤️

Joined my 99 day plan and is marking moves 🔥🔥

Not only is she making better food choices (far from perfect BUT better !!)

She has increased the treadmill walk from 10 mins to 40mins ..

Can now use various gym machines unassisted (including the prowler)

Is getting up slightly earlier to make the gym before work!

And competed a full gym/dance class at the weekend which would never have been possible before.

All things that add up to A WIN

I finally feel I’ve created something online as coach that will work anyone who is willing to work at it..

The squad is what makes it work !!

Like minded people all in one place working as a team helping and encouraging ITS WINNING and winning strong 🔥🔥

The goal is now to reach the stone mark for Christmas 🎯

Stuck in the house and need some help exercising ?

Grab yourself some resistance bands online and a bag with some weight in it (relevant to you) and your set.

Combine any of these exercises in any order to get a sweat on and hey presto you have a session sorted !

Example.
-Goblet squat - 45 secs on as many reps as you can
- rest 15 secs
- side plank (max time each side)
Rest 45 secs
Repeat x 3 sets

- Decline press ups (what I’d do here is see the maximum you can get in 1 go) Then work at 70/80-% of that total for 3/4 sets
- rest 1 minute between sets
(Each week try add 1 extra)

Now we raise the heart rate in a small circuit
- goblet squat x 10
- squat jump x 10 (no weight)
- face pulls x 15 (get your breath back)
- Mountain climbers x 30 secs (as fast as you can)
Rest 30 secs
Repeat x 5 rounds

Whole body workout, will take less than half hour to complete.

Setting up your own?

1. Tension based exercise and core (little rest)
2. Strength based (more rest)
3. Cardio for HR (rest so you can complete with intensity)

And set up your own !!
