🥅 2016 Friendly 🥅

East End 2016s were invited for friendly at Score and WOW… what a game!

End-to-end football, goals galore, brilliant saves, tough tackles, and smiles everywhere you looked. The energy and effort from every single player was unreal But the best part? The respect and sportsmanship on show from BOTH teams. That’s what really matters 💙💜

The photo shows both teams mixed in together as one! No egos, no sides… just kids enjoying football the way it should be.

Massive thank you to Reece from Portstewart for the invite and for hosting us this afternoon top class from start to finish.

This is why we do it… giving kids as much football as possible, helping them grow, make friends, and fall in love with the game ⚽️❤️

🥅 2013 Colts Match Report 🥅

Sunny Saturday springs a 7-7

With no league or cup matches on Saturday the 14th of March, our 2013 Colts made the short trip to Mosside for a friendly game against Ballycastle 2013s.

After a couple of tough weeks, the 2013s were keen to have a stress-free game and some fun on what was a beautiful sunny Saturday in Mosside.

East End started well, using the large pitch to play some nice football across the field. Ballycastle showed they were up for the game as well, winning the ball and having a couple of attacks, narrowly missing out as Logan stood solid in the East End goal.

East End's back four of Louis, Myles, Brody and Aayan stood up well to the early attacks from Ballycastle, but it was East End who broke the deadlock with a shot from William, some 35 yards out, finding its way into the bottom corner.1-0 East End.

The game then took a bit of a turn, with Ballycastle scoring two in quick succession to go 2-1 ahead.

East End's midfield battled hard in the centre, with William, Parker and Tyler all putting in a great shift, while Noah and Odhŕan were causing problems for Ballycastle on the wings, trying to get the ball across to Jacob up front.

With two wonder strikes and a tap-in, Parker secured his hat-trick before half-time with a superb performance in midfield.

Half-time: 4-4

A few changes and some fresh legs saw young Marcel make his debut for the 2013s, along with Steely, Blake and captain Troy, who arrived at half-time after helping the youth team to a 3-0 win over Maghera.

A change of goalkeeper also saw Myles step into goal for the second half, with Logan moving back outfield after stepping into nets for the past few weeks. He definitely missed playing outfield, as he managed a great solo goal followed by a thunderous strike from midfield to secure his brace for the afternoon.

The changes didn’t dampen the pace of the game, as both teams played out a great end-to-end contest. Myles made some crucial saves in goal as Ballycastle kept the pressure on and made the most of their chances, scoring three in the second half.

East End's Jacob battled hard up front to win every loose ball, and his determination paid off as he got his solitary goal of the afternoon, making the score 7-7 at the final whistle.

Following the spirit of the game, both teams decided to have a penalty shoot-out to finish off a great match. With almost 30 players taking penalties, keeping score wasn’t going to be easy, but after some great goals and saves, East End managed to win the shoot-out 11-8.

East End would like to thank Ballycastle for a great game, played in a friendly spirit. We look forward to the return fixture as part of our preparations for summer football.

POTM for East End, chosen by the players today, was young Marcel for a great debut.

🥅 2014 Colts - 11-a-side Friendly 🥅

East End vs Ballymoney
Thursday 12th March

The lads travelled to Ballymoney for an 11-a-side friendly.

During the warm-up we were hit with a horrendous shower of rain, sleet, hailstones and wind .. you name it! The boys were absolutely frozen and in the first minute we thought we might have to call it quits.

Thankfully the rain eased off and the lads did us proud. Even though they were cold and drenched, they battled on without a single complaint. In fact, I think they might have enjoyed it even more somehow! 🤣🙈

From the first whistle you would think the Colts had been playing 11-a-side all season. There’s still plenty to learn, but it was fantastic to see signs of the things we’ve been working on in training. Hopefully the boys can see from their well-deserved win that the hard work pays off.

Man of the Match 🏆 Without a doubt has to go to Kaden. Some fantastic goals and really looked at home on the bigger pitch. Well done Kaden 💪🏻

A big thank you to Ballymoney for hosting the game. We wish you all the best for the rest of the season.

💜 2013 Colts Mums 💜

Last photo of the day but by no means least important. Here’s a photo of our 2013 Colts player Myles and his mum.

The rest of the 2013 Colts mums must have been a bit too shy to send in their photos, but we’re wishing you all a very Happy Mother’s Day anyway! 💐

Edited: We have had a few more brave enough to send their pictures in to the comments so I've added them in to this post. Thanks mums 🥰

💜 2012 Mums 💜

Most of the 2012 players are now taller than their mums, but they’re never too old for a bit of sideline support… or a lift home afterwards.

Happy Birthday 2012 Mums 💐

💜 2013 Youths Mums 💜

Now into their first year of 11-a-side football, life has levelled up for our 2013 mums. More travel, longer matches and suddenly the petrol budget looks very different. But the pride on the sideline makes it all worth it.

Happy Mother's Day 2013 Youth's Mums 💐

JM Academy

Our vision is for JM Academy Football Club to be the focus for inclusive, safe, top quality and successful football development in the local community and to increase participation and improvement in the sport at all levels and thereby encourage good health, well being and citizenship. We want to provide a professional identity and standing within the Town and continue to build on the strong relationships within the community enabling us to provide football for a wider range of people living in and around the town of Coleraine.

To achieve this, the club needs to ensure it has a clear vision and strategy which includes specific key aims and objectives and deliverable outcomes. This includes a plan to realise our longstanding vision of having centralised, dedicated training and playing facilities, which can be used all year round as well as being the central hub/identity of JM Academy.

The club draws the vast majority of its members from the local community Ballysally, and a local point for club members where training, matches, meetings and presentations can be held would significantly contribute to the longevity of the club, its membership, secure it’s identity and local standing within the town. This will also enable us to run more sporting initiatives and regular/scheduled events that will develop children’s sport/activities and bring recognition to the town. It will also provide a mechanism to showcase the clubs sporting achievements
