It usually happens about three reps in.

Rep one:

“Oh, this is nice.”

Rep two:

“Okay, I feel that.”

Rep three:

“I’ve seriously miscalculated.”

Then comes the shaking.

The bargaining.

The aggressive exhale.

The internal promise that you’ll never complain about footwork again.

And somehow five minutes later you’re willingly doing another exercise.

Stockholm syndrome, but make it classical Pilates.
