LR Dance School professional school of dance began in 2003 and was

set up by Principal Miss Laura Rampton (F.I.S.T.D.).Our school offers classes in various styles such as freestyle, commercial street, rock and roll, and slow lyrical - at various locations around the Colchester area. and that are appropriate for children and adults. Classes are currently held across Colchester and also in Lawford, West Bergholt, Tiptree, Lexden, Great Horkesley, Nayland and Stanway. LR Dance School has achieved amazing success since opening in 2003, locally and regionally. This has been due to the fantastic efforts and hard work of the students, the tremendous support of their parents and the commitment and loyalty shown by all within the LR Dance School family.

WHAT A WONDERFUL FIRST WEEK BACK!❤️

Our new term is officially underway and what a fabulous first week it has been. Seeing our classes filled with beautiful dancing, smiles, energy and excitement has been the perfect way to begin a brand new term. 🩷🖤🩷

There is something so special about the first week back — welcoming our darling pupils, new goals, fresh routines and that wonderful feeling of knowing there are so many exciting things ahead. ✨

As a dance family, we fully embrace the new term ahead; learning, growing, working hard, supporting one another and most importantly, making memories together.

To every LRD pupil who has stepped back through the doors last week or returning back to class this coming week — welcome back! We are so proud of you already and cannot wait to see everything you achieve this term.

🩷🖤🩷 Six Weeks Of Dancing🩷🖤🩷

As our six-weeks of LRD summer classes came to an end, we want to take a moment to say just how proud we are of every single pupil who has joined us over the holidays. ❤️

For six weeks, we have kept our classes running, our dancers in training and their passion for dance thriving throughout the summer. 🌟

Our pupils have continued to develop and work incredibly hard on their technique, strengthen their skills, build confidence on both syllabus and competition routines and as always enjoy dancing with their friends.

We have seen continued effort, commitment, teamwork, determination, beautiful smiles and so much progress in every class. Whether your child has attended one class or joined us throughout the six weeks, we are incredibly proud of the dedication they have shown.

We know that keeping classes going throughout the summer takes commitment from our pupils and their families — and we are so truly appreciative for your continued support. ❤️

We are so proud of you all. Keep shining, keep working hard, stay focused and keep dancing!

I am SO proud of every single one of you! 🌟 You have all worked incredibly hard, shown such amazing effort and commitment and continued to give your absolute best in every class.

It has been truly wonderful to see the smiles, teamwork, encouragement and support you have shown each other. Watching everyone grow in confidence with new class routines, syllabus work and choreography has been pure joy to watch! ❤️

A HUGE well done to everyone who has attended during the summer and continued to work so hard on their training — you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves! 💗 Keep dancing, keep smiling and keep believing in yourselves. Your hard work and dedication really does shine through! ✨

Week 4 of our summer holiday dance classes and a gorgeous night from start to finish.

Thank you to my darling pupils who attended and worked so hard in the heat! You are all AMAZING and my heart is so very proud of you all.

From syllabus work, examination prep, new choreography and A WHOLE LOT OF SWEAT & COMP WORK (Set dances/Solos/Slow/Pairs) it was most certainly a brilliantly productive evening - LOVED IT!! 🔥🔥🔥

Both Georgia and I are beyond proud of how successful our classes have been throughout the summer holidays. Most importantly, we are so proud of our incredible LRD dance family and the commitment, dedication and enthusiasm you have given week after week. ❤️

JULY, YOU WERE SOMETHING SPECIAL!

What a month it was for our dance school!

July was filled with hard work, dedication, laughter, achievements and so many memories made together — and as your teachers, we honestly couldn’t be prouder of every single one of our pupils. 🥹🩷

Across all of our classes, we have seen such a fantastic work ethic. Watching our beautiful pupils push themselves, support one another, working hard on technique and continue to grow week after week makes us incredibly proud. Every little bit of extra effort counts, and we see it all! ✨

THEN……our competition results! 🏆🏅�What an incredible month! From amazing performances on the competition floor to shining in the finals, to receiving fantastic results, our gorgeous girls have shown exactly what happens when hard work and focus meets determination, commitment and a whole lot of heart. We are SO proud of every single one of our girls who stepped onto the dance floor representing us and gave it their all. ❤️

But beyond the trophies, medals and achievements, July has given us something even more special — more memories together. From classes and extra lessons to competitions, celebrations, laughs and everything in between, these are the moments that make our dance school what it is. 🩷🖤🩷🖤 Because we’re not just a dance school… we’re a family. ❤️
A family that celebrates each other’s successes, picks each other up when needed, works hard together, laughs together and creates memories that we’ll treasure for years to come.

To every dancer, parent and member of our LRD dance family — thank you for making our school the very special place that it is. To our incredible pupils, never ever forget how proud you make us. Week 3 of our Summer Holiday Classes and MY HEART HAS MISSED YOU ALL! ❤️

We had a brilliant night of dancing, catching up, huge hugs and laughing always! Thank you for working so hard everyone, for making me smile and for giving 200% effort!

From beautiful class work, technique exercises & drills, cardio & stamina training, comp routines performed and ending the night with a new lyrical… which was danced with such elegance and control.

A gorgeous evening with you all and lollies to end such a wonderful summer’s evening of dance 🩷🖤🩷🖤🩷🖤🩷.

Week 2 of our Summer Holiday Classes and these smiles speak a thousand words!

To my gorgeous girlies & ladies, to hear from Georgia that you all had the best night as always - doing what we LOVE ❤️ makes me so happy!

Georgia said it was a brilliant night of dancing, you completed so much on her ‘wish list’ and lots of tired, glowing faces left the building at the end of the night 🤣! That’s what I love to hear, you all working so hard and staying so focused and committed during the holidays! Absolutely STARS ✨ .

A HUGE thank you to my beautiful Georgia for teaching the first two sessions whilst I was away with my family and I can’t wait to see my dance family next week for the biggest hugs and catch up!

Week 1 of our LRD Summer Holiday Dance Classes 🩷🖤🩷🖤🩷

WOW what a fabulous night was had by all, we are so proud of our amazing pupils for joining us last week for our evening of dance. The class ‘wish list’ was ticked off and completed! (Including a lot of sweat, hard work, syllabus training, cardio, stamina and plenty of laughter - that’s guaranteed!).

Such a truly fantastic start to our summer classes and we hope to see lots of our darling pupils over the holidays, we’d absolutely love for you to join us.

GIRLS…..! My heart is so proud of you! Our last competition before the summer break and five of our beautiful girls represented us and had a fantastic day with Georgia 🩷🖤.
