Wow! Just wow!
What a way to start a new season. After a summer break in fixtures our continued training sessions paid dividends yesterday. Our under 15 team secured division 1 status yesterday following the last round of summer league fixtures.
We lost Zak at last minute due to a finger injury meaning we only had 6 players and played all 4 fixtures with a player less than the opponents.
We set up a drop and drew the opposing teams on to us. Everyone was brilliant and even undefeated Watford water polo struggled to break us down. We lost to Croydon and Watford in first two games. But the team had learnt how to drop and counter and were encouraged by how well they'd played. We then played the key game against Beckenham and absolutely destroyed them 10-2! Then in the final game against Otter Swimming & Water Polo Club we drew 5-5 with our equaliser in the final seconds.
Amazing day of top level polo. Congratulations everyone, super proud of you all 🤽‍♀️🤽‍♂️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

🏊‍♀️🏆 WHAT A GALA! 🏆🏊‍♂️

A huge well done to all of our swimmers who gave absolutely everything in the pool! It was a fantastic evening of racing, team spirit and plenty of brilliant performances! 🔥

We finished the gala in an amazing 2nd place, with just 7 points separating us from the top spot! 🙌

Are you an enthusiastic and motivated coach ready to take the lead of a thriving Masters Swimming Programme?

Colchester Swimming & Water Polo Club are looking for a Part-Time Masters Swimming Coach to join our team!

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with swimmers aged 16+, supporting athletes across fitness, wellbeing and competitive swimming, while helping our Masters programme grow and develop.

📅 Coaching hours:
🏊 Wednesday | 7–8pm
🏊 Thursday | 7–8pm
🏊 Sunday | 8–10am
➕ Additional cover within the squad programme

We’re looking for someone with Swim England Level 2 (or equivalent), strong communication skills and a real passion for adult swimming and performance.

Experience coaching Masters swimmers is desirable, but most importantly, we want someone who is passionate about developing swimmers and creating a positive, inclusive and ambitious environment.

Mens water polo team travelled to Whitgift School in Croydon for the Charely Thurley Cup yesterday. An annual tournament seen as a warm up for the upcoming National Conference Waterpolo League and BWPL. We had a mixed afternoon beating Watford water polo 3-2, losing a very tight game to Croydon 2-1. We then lost to winners Polytechnic 6-2, drew 2-2 with Sutton & Cheam before losing the final game 3-1 to Beckenham.
All round some good performances against teams from the Premier Division in London. We go again against Beckenham on Wednesday night at Basildon Sporting Village

⭐️❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU to our Team Captains! ❤️⭐️

What a fun-filled afternoon! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

Today, our current Team Captains officially handed over the baton to our newly appointed Captains — a very special moment and one we’re incredibly proud of. 🫶🏼

After a busy morning of training in the pool, our Captains took charge and hosted our very own Squad Sports Day, a kick rounds match, and even some fundraising fun with a game of Heads or Tails! 🏃‍♀️🎯🙌🏼

A massive thank you to all of our Captains, past and present, for giving your time, energy and enthusiasm to our swimmers. You’re a huge part of what makes our club so special! 💛❤️🖤🤍
