In September 1996 Carol Gale School of Dance opened its doors for the first time at the Stanway Village Hall where our classes still operate today.

Over the last thirty years our school has taught dancers of all ages in Colchester, Tiptree, Braintree, Tollesbury, Chelmsford, Alresford and Mersea as well as in lots of local primary, secondary schools and colleges.

The dance school has performed in many prestigious venues such as Disneyland Paris, the west ends’ Her Majesty’s theatre & Sadlers Wells, Alton Towers, as well as numerous local shows and performances.

Our competition squads have had 30 years of local, national and worldwide success.

Carol & Stacey have trained and successfully put more than 10 Disco freestyle teachers through their ISTD teaching exams, as well as the hundreds if not thousands of amateur exams passed with phenomenal results.

We have so many incredible lifelong memories we will cherish with all our pupils & families past & present from over three decades.

We are so proud of our very own Miley Bell, passing the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing DFR Associate teaching exam with an incredible 97% Highly commended 🤩

After completing the ISTD amateur pathway of medalist examinations from age 6, Miley took the professional teaching exam a year early with permission from the examination board, proving that she has the knowledge, experience and capabilities needed to be an incredible dance teacher who we are very lucky to have as part of our team.

Our Tallulah Bamboola has done it, today she fought hard from 53 dancers making BOTH her Fast & Slow finals QUALIFYING for DKKQ DKKQ....Blackpool Tower!!!!
