Being healthy’ sometimes has a bad reputation…..
People often think you have to spend your life eating sawdust-type food or lots of boring lettuce.
People often assume I’m going to be some kind of cuisine-related kill-joy.
When I had a little office at the gym, the staff used to hide their lunch.
At a networking group, a woman once told me she could blackmail me by taking a photo of me (I was helping myself to potato wedges at the time). I said, “well, you can try” (I think it was a joke 🤔).
As well as thinking I’m some kind of ‘food saint’, people also seem to think I’m going to delight in removing everything they love to eat.
It’s. not. True!
I’m a moderate Nutritional Therapist. As a child of the 80’s, I grew up on pot noodles and wagon wheels. I love food, just like you. It’s just that I’ve come to realise that eating in a way to suit you, can make your health, life and how you feel sooooooo much better!
I think this background means I can relate strongly to what many of my clients are battling with. My clients often comment on my realistic, moderate, and non-judgmental style.
My approach is always focused initially on adding stuff in (rather than restricting) and helping you add joy to your life (not remove it!)
This principle also translates to the recipes I've included in my upcoming 7-day Autumn Recharge programme. While people's favourite recipes in the programme always vary, they have all been designed to be nutritious AND delicious! (because honestly? Who wants to eat sawdust!)
