Colchester and East Essex Cricket Club

Colchester and East Essex Cricket Club We are a family club in the heart of Colchester. Come join our Mens, Women's, Junior and Girls teams or visit the clubhouse for a drink and watch some cricket.

We have 3 Saturday mens teams playing in the Shepherd Neame Essex League and a Sunday team playing in the Piri Piri North Essex Cricket League. We have a successful Women's team playing in the Beaumont Seymour T20 Women's League and the Essex Women's Premier League. For younger players we run an U16 team playing in the Essex Cricket Board Matchplay competition and U11,U12,U13,U14,U15 boys teams playing in the North Essex District Board Junior Cricket League. We run Dynamos Cricket for the girls.

Huge congratulations to Joe McGregor whose 132 runs in the last game of the season took him to 1,034 runs in total which secured him the Essex Premier League top-scorer accolade for the second consecutive year, more than 200 runs ahead of his nearest rival 🙌

🏏 A season finale to remember at Castle Park!

Colchester & East Essex signed off with a thrilling 10-run win over title-chasing Hutton, securing their Premier League status for 2027. 🙌

⭐ Captain Joe Macgregor hit a superb 132, finishing as the Essex Premier League’s top scorer for the second year running, while 18-year-old Jonty Ray starred with 3-26.

👏 And congratulations again to Jez Sadler, named Essex League Groundsman of the Year for an incredible 11th consecutive season!

Plenty to be proud of – and plenty to look forward to in 2027. 💙🏏

Despite a three-wicket defeat to Hornchurch a couple of weekends ago, the First XI picked up seven vital bonus points to strengthen their bid for Essex Premier League survival, and either this weekend’s game a washout thanks to some much needed rain, there is only one game left for the team to secure safety.

And a massive congratulations to Jez Sadler, set to be named Essex League Groundsman of the Year for an incredible 11th consecutive season! 👏🌟
