Extremely disappointing we have no Drumpy juniors playing at Wishaw on Sunday.🤷🏻‍♂️

They are still taking entries if you want to play.

We are delighted to announce that Drumpellier Golf Club has been given a "Girls into Golf" hub status, by Scottish Golf.

Ideally we are looking for girls aged 8-10 years old to come and try golf and come along for 6 consecutive Sunday afternoons and see how they get on.

Two of our senior girls Elizabeth and Molly will be in attendance to support the classes and mentor the girls.

We will supply the clubs and there is no need to buy golf shoes, trainers with a good grip will be fine.

There is a £30pp contribution required towards the lessons.

Depending on how things go, we may run another block of lessons.

Girls enjoying the game will be offered membership of the club.

We will also be purchasing half sets of junior clubs and renting them out for £30 for the season, to help parents out.

If you are interested in putting a girl/s forward, or you wish more information, please give me a call.

Please note the club has Scottish Golf "Safegolf" accreditation (see attached) and our 2 PGA Professionals, have been PVG checked.

Monklands Junior Championships at Airdrie
-Monday 25 May 2026.

Well done to the Drumpy kids who played at Airdrie today along with other juniors from Easter Moffat.

We didn't have many players due to a variety of reasons, but as always, our juniors featured prominently in the prizes!

Top of the bill was Leo McCallion who at 14yo won the Monklands Junior Championship with a scratch 75 in a tricky wind and fast but very true greens! 👏🏆

The fast improving Matthew Stubbs was T5 in the overall handicap division with a 68 and we had a 1,2 in the scratch division on the 9 hole "academy course".

Luke Miller was 🥇with a gross 46 and Oliver Reid 🥈with a 52.👏👏

Well done to all the Drumpy kids who played gaining invaluable experience.👍

Our thanks go to all at Airdrie for putting on an excellent competition and for providing all kids with a free burger n chips and a drink after their round.👌

A special mention to the greens team for the excellent presentation of the course, especially the greens, which were first class.👏👍

Well done to the Drumpy kids who bounced back from a disappointing 3-3 home draw with Shotts last Thursday, to secure a big win yesterday at Carluke.👏

Well done to Carrick Watson and Cole McLachlan, who both won on their debuts.

You won't forget that guys.👍👍

A solid weekend at Alyth for Drumpellier Golf Club Junior Section youngster Leo McCallion as his 77,75,75 put him in 3rd place in the JTS Under 14 Order of Merit.

Great to see the kids slowly coming out to play from their winter hibernation and it's also getting near to the end of the exams!

Also great to see so many new members playing for their handicaps.👍

The best way to get better is playing in medals and junior opens, not playing with your pals all the time!

Meanwhile it's the guys putting in the hard work whose handicaps are flying down......
