There is a considerable programme of improvement now underway at Drumpellier, and we wanted to give members an update on the work currently taking place and what will be happening next.
Work has now started on the renovation and expansion of the changing room facilities. At the same time, a new roof is being installed covering the changing rooms and hall, while the club’s heating system will also be upgraded throughout the entire building.
Together, these works represent a significant investment in the club’s facilities and will make a real difference to both our sporting sections and everyone using the clubhouse.
Work will also begin shortly to completely resurface and repave the terrace area, further improving the outdoor facilities around the clubhouse. We will provide further updates as the different elements of the work progress.
New benches for the club have now arrived. Members have also been given the opportunity to sponsor or dedicate one of the new benches for £130. There are now only a very limited number remaining available to dedicate, so anyone who would still like to do so should get in touch soon.
While work is taking place, we would ask members not to approach the contractors or their staff directly with questions or requests regarding the projects.
Any queries, comments or concerns about ongoing or upcoming work should instead be directed to the Management Committee at [email protected]
This will allow the committee to liaise directly with the relevant contractors and ensure that work can continue without unnecessary disruption.
We also want members to have a meaningful say in what comes next.
A survey has now been launched seeking your views on the Davie Crone Legacy and the areas you believe should be prioritised for future investment at Drumpellier.
Responses will be collated and considered by the Management Committee. Any proposals arising from that process will then be brought back to the wider membership for consideration at a future full club meeting or AGM.
