Our 3rd XI got their Sunday League campaign off to a winning start with a controlled six-wicket victory over Ayr at Langloan, completing a clean sweep for Drumps over the weekend.

After an hour’s rain delay and losing the toss, Drumps restricted Ayr to 199-5, with Diljot Sidhu taking three wickets.

In reply, Rayyan Khan led the chase with an unbeaten 81*, while Diljot Sidhu scored his first senior half-century. Anmol Sidhu’s 19* helped seal the win alongside Rayyan with 11 balls to spare.

It was a tough Saturday on the road for the 1st XI in a close encounter with familiar foes Stenhousemuir. Batting first, the hosts recovered from 60-4 to post a competitive 187ao… shout out to Josh Allison’s fantastic reflexes in the cordon to take a pair of outstanding catches at slip. The Drumps batters made plenty of inroads but ultimately fell 35 runs short of the victory target.

The 2nd XI maintained their 100% start to the season from completed matches, as they beat Stirling County’s Second String by 138 runs at Langloan. In a spot of bother at 88-7, a 127-run stand from Francis Berryman (51) & Rahman Ali (73) took the game back away from the visitors and set an imposing 270 runs to win. The visitors collapsed from 108-5 to end all out for 132 runs with Chameera Jayasundara picking up 6-28.
