We got our campaign off to a flying start with a dominant 7β0 victory over Cadzow Thistle.
We got off to the perfect start, taking the lead inside just two minutes. John Hamilton finished clinically after being played in by Lewis OβBrien.
John doubled the advantage soon after when Conor Rankin clipped a ball into the box, allowing John to rise highest and head home for 2β0.
Just after the 15-minute mark, Kieren Reynolds added a third following some excellent play from Albion. We continued to control the game and went into the break 3β0 ahead.
Four minutes into the second half, Peter Dolan was shown a red card, leaving Albion down to ten men. Despite the setback, the team continued to perform at a high level and refused to let the result slip.
Kieren grabbed his second of the afternoon to make it 4β0, with John Hamilton providing the assist.
John then turned provider again as Aidan Kirkwood made it 5β0.
The scoring continued as Nathan Gray found the net for 6β0, assisted by Jordan Conner.
And there was still time for Kieren to complete his hat-trick, with Andy Russell providing the assist to make it 7β0.
A fantastic team performance, particularly after going down to ten men, and a brilliant way to begin our first league campaign.
