West End bowling club is a small, but friendly and busy, lawn bowling club, offering a good mix of in-house and invitational tournaments throughout the season, including every Saturday afternoon and Wednesday evening - although we are, in fact, open 7 days a week! The club consists of both male and female members, ranging from 12 to 82 yrs, and since they're a great bunch of folk who consider stra

ngers to be merely friends they haven't yet met, newcomers are always greeted very warmly and made very, very welcome!

Hi Folks , unfortunately the green will be closed tonight due to the weather conditions, it’s already starting to flood. The club however will be open from around 7 00 for anyone wishing to partake of a few pre match drinks , apparently some kind of football game on later ??
Anyone who was there on Saturday night/ Sunday morning!, knows what a brilliant time we had for the first game , so let’s do it all again and get up and support Scotland AND the West End! Everyone’s a winner.

Hi folks , tomorrow nights Lanarkshire league game has been cancelled as our opponents have withdrawn from the league , however the Scotland V Morocco football game will still be shown with an 11pm kick off , so dust off the kilts and the ‘ see you Jimmy ‘ hats and come along and have a great night. £5 entry and that includes a pie and a drink at half time.

What a fantastic night we had last night for the Scotland game. Even with a 2 am kick off we had the diehards come along and support the team. Thanks to everyone who helped organise and run the night ,decorate the hall, and generally kept everyone suitably fed and watered. Remember we are showing the next 2 Scotland games too, with next up against Morroco this coming Friday night with an 11pm kick off. It will be a busy night because the gents have their opening Lanarkshire league game that night too .. and it’s at home !. It will be the same arrangement as last night as in £5 entry with pies and a drink included at half time. Hope to see you all there.

Hi folks , we have a very busy day ( and night )ahead tomorrow, so just a wee run through the plans.
We are having a tournament starting at 1pm , format will depend on numbers , that will be finished for 5 pm at a cost of £5 per head , sausage rolls ,sandwich’s, biscuits ,tea and coffee will be provided. The plan is club will close 6pm-8 pm to allow everyone to go home and get their kilts on!!
From 8pm onwards it will be karaoke through til after midnight and then the Scotland game , kick off 0200, will be shown, the evening will also be £5 per head and a drink and half time pies will be included.

Only a few days until the big kick off for Scotland at the World Cup folks . The clubhouse looks like the SNP headquarters,( the motorhome is parked at the side !) we invite all our members and friends to come join us watching all of Scotlands group games and thereafter all of their games all the way to the final ! ( c’mon folks be positive ). Entry for all the games is £5 and this includes a drink on arrival and pies at half time. So come along and support Scotland and the West End at the same time, everyone’s a winner. C’MON SCOTLAND!!!
