West End bowling club is a small, but friendly and busy, lawn bowling club, offering a good mix of in-house and invitational tournaments throughout the season, including every Saturday afternoon and Wednesday evening - although we are, in fact, open 7 days a week! The club consists of both male and female members, ranging from 12 to 82 yrs, and since they're a great bunch of folk who consider strangers to be merely friends they haven't yet met, newcomers are always greeted very warmly and made very, very welcome!

Congratulations to Drew Rabone who had a magnificent 21-19 victory in Monklands BA semi final v Airdrie central this afternoon. A fantastic game to watch and great credit goes to both players. The final is next Saturday at Victoria BC , 2pm on the green. Go Drew !

Congratulations to Drew Rabone on a magnificent victory last night in Monklands BA championship.
Commiserations to the ladies teams who all narrowly lost out in their games.
Drew will now play in the singles semi final this coming Saturday at Caldergraig BC . 2 00 on the green.

Hi folks just a wee reminder for anyone playing in the club nominated pairs tomorrow, as it is the club championships then club shirts should be worn, also as per usual the matches will be played through semi final stages tomorrow and the final itself will be played over finals weekend.

Hi folks , good news , the burst water pipe at club has been repaired , thanks to Craig and Adam Cook, Benny Smith , Drew Rabone and Mick Traill for all the hard work . The excavation will be reinstated tomorrow however the club will be open as normal, with full facilities, from lunchtime for play as normal.
