Bit on the Sidesaddle 'Bit on the Sidesaddle' aim to make riding aside accessible to riders who want to give it a try. Our Bit on the Sidesaddle offer a modern day side saddle.

They are imported from Europe and are the result of 5 years developing and trialling by owner Sarah Parry who has designed for well known equestrian brands for many years. They can be made to order with matching accessories available. We welcome international orders and happy to quote shipping prices. We also hold 'have a go' clinics and are happy to visit local yards. Corsets, don't fear them, your posture will be one less thing to worry about! It's a proper riding corset, so the bones don't dig in your thighs. I love mine, I even use it at trade stands to help with my back. Wonderful things x

Stumpy the weapon saddle! The dissection of an eBay 'side saddle' Just a bit of fun really, but also to raise awareness of what an Internet purchase looks like inside, and how the materials more than anything can fail. There is not much understanding or the brief has not been explained properly, but I bought this cheap, to remove from circulation. No horse will suffer with this thing. Peanuts, paper tickets, carpet factory floor sweepings and dirt from the floor. Now, I started by having my saddles made abroad, and still do but the original ones had polyfil and the makers were directed how to make. The parts and materials are all sent from this country for my newer ones, even the staples and nails!

It's been a long time, I hope you are all well.
I'm sorry I've been absent, to be honest, even looking at my page has brought tears. I could go on about the whys and the like but I'm not.
Today is a day for celebrating. Last week I received my first post covid Melody side saddle.
I'm delighted, a new start.
Of course we missed the Nationals, but I think the universe is telling me to take a breath and go slow.
So here's to Melody mkll! 🥂
May she have a wonderful time with her new owner.

To all my friends, followers and customers at the 40th side saddle nationals this year, I hope you all have a wonderful time. If there was a show I wanted and needed to go to as much, it was this one.
As sad as it is that I won't be there, we are up and running again. My factory has been open properly for 2 weeks and we are still here! Too short a time to get deliveries and saddles together but next year, oh my goodness next year we will be back.
Enjoy the thrill of competing, supporting our small companies there and most of all the joy of being together again.
I can't wait to see all the pictures over the next few days, old and new faces 🥲

Dear fans, followers and friends... have a good a Christmas as you can. Enjoy the company you can share as much as you can. Eat and drink what you want. Love and care as much as possible. Don't waste energy waiting for things to get better, because for some things will get worse.
Live for now and savour everything, the calm and the storm. I for one am learning not to take anything for granted, tomorrow isn't a promise....
Slowly as things restore there will be hiccups. Brexit, new strains, 3rd wave, more lockdown's but we will persevere and carry on. With gritted teeth and determination if not only for ourselves but our loved ones.
To 2021, hand in hand, together ###
