Yesterday, we celebrated the incredible achievements of our Post 16–19 students at our End of Academic Year Awards 🎉

From academic excellence and special recognition awards for strength and character, to celebrating our football team’s remarkable AOC League title win in their first ever season together, it was an evening to remember. 🏆⚽

Head of Academy, Nick DeLong, summed up the occasion perfectly:

“It was a very proud day for all involved in the Post 16–19 programme. The students have been a credit to the Foundation this year and rightly deserve such an event and occasion. There are exciting times ahead, but what will never change is that the group we have in front of us today are history makers and we are extremely proud to have played our part. They know, but everyone should know how proud we are of them all. Bright futures ahead of every one of them.”

Congratulations to all of our award winners and students. Thank you for an unforgettable year and for making history together. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you all. 👏💙

A huge thank you to and The Glass Box on the Pier for helping make the evening so special. Your support and hospitality were greatly appreciated. 🙌✨

On Monday night Lucy and Becky had the privilege of attending a screening of “Postcodes” ; a powerful documentary highlighting the dangers young people in Bristol face around violence and knife crime as a direct consequence of where they live.
What followed was an entirely youth voice Q&A session in which the young people in the audience were able to ask the panel the questions they wanted answered. No adults allowed!

What we learned…young people want prevention before crisis and services that come together to help support them. They want safe spaces with positive interactions and the message communicated that this is not “all young people”; small pockets of violent behaviour create the biggest tragedy and loss.
A truly impactful and thought provoking evening.

Over the last few weeks, we were inundated with so many generous Easter Egg donations.

We collected so many that Bristol Children’s Hospital couldn’t accept them all!

This meant that we were able to visit 4 amazing organisations across North Somerset and surrounding areas.
