Borrowed this from a page on our Jersey club site. It is very true. Whilst at the lower grade stage, yes we understand, life has a lot to offer everywhere, when getting up past green belt, through to purple, training can become tedious. Repetition is the order of the day. It is not just learning a technique, it becomes perfecting that technique. Training once a week, you may remember a few minutes of what you have been taught, training a couple of times a week, you will start to remember a lot more and perfect what you have been taught. At the end of the day, it is down to the student how far they wish to progress. Instructors can only teach so much, putting the time and the effort in is what will carry you through.
