⚡️OPEN DAY⚡️
This Saturday, May 9th, we are holding our very first open day!
If you are interested in shooting, why not pop down for a cuppa and a chat with one of our friendly members, to find out what we do. There might even be cakes!
There will be NO SHOOTING, but come and see a ‘range’ of air rifles from throughout the decades. The kettle will be on from about 10am.
We are located at The Old Quarry, Old Church Road, BS21 7UD
Running concurrently, we have a stall at the Lake and Pier Day, hosted by Marlens. We will have a fun, interactive set-up. Come and have a play!
There might even be cakes there too!!

Did you know, Clevedon has its very own rifle club (and has done since 1950!). We hear it so often, locals know of the building, but didn’t know what it was, or thought it was a derelict building!
However, with a lot of hard work from our members, we are making lots of improvements.
Our membership is continuing to grow, almost on a weekly basis. With this in mind, we are trialling occasional weekend openings, as well as our usual Thursday evening opening.
So if you are interested in rifle shooting and fancy coming along, please send us an email for more details.
We are located on Old Church Road, opposite the junction with Tennyson Avenue. See you there!

Another great night down the range last night with a steady flow of members coming in to shoot throughout the evening. We meet Officially on Thursday evenings, please get in touch if you fancy coming to have a look around with the intention of becoming a member of the club. We have a home office licence to shoot both air arms and live fire.

We have been very busy with an AGM and a committee change where roles and responsibilities have been looked at and up dated. We are now fully up to date with everything that needed doing before we could accept new members. Please get in touch if you fancy a visit, and look around or just a chat.

Another great shoot this evening with an aray of different air rifles on the point throughout the season. A couple of new P*P rifles fired for the first time as well with some happy owners.

We are going to run some features over the next couple of weeks to let you all know who we are as a club and what we get up to down the range on a Thursday evening.
I'm going to start off with introducing P*P air rifles and what P*P means and how they work.
Precharged pneumatic (P*P) air rifles are powered by compressed air contained in an integral air cylinder attached to the rifle (normally under the barrel) that can be refilled using either an air compressor or a portable air cylinder much like they use within scuba diving.
Its concept is inherently simple: a hammer strikes a valve that releases some air to thrust the pellet out of the barrel.

Another great evening down the range last night. Its becoming a regular thing now, all lanes in use all night and a good chat going on in the lounge.

Last night we introduced a bell target (basically there is a small bell behind this plate, if you fire and it goes through the small hole at the front you hit the bell which then rings) we had a fun competition using a 1907 bell target rifle firing from the standing position. Everyone had a couple of goes but only one person managed to ring the bell (twice) well done Phil.
It was a great night and extremely well attended.
I've included a picture of a splatter pellet.
