What a game at Hall Road this afternoon with the Reserves taking on Necton in the Primary Cup.
After weathering the early storm Clenchwarton settled and took a 2-0 lead through Nathan Yallop and Luke Kerrison, only for Necton to rally and level the scores before half time.
Necton again raised their level and score 2 goals in quick succession to take the game away from Clenchwarton.
We don’t do things the easy way at this club and the boys never stopped working hard off the ball, battling for each other and never gave up the belief that they could win.
Adam Setchell pull one back before a last gasp free kick screamer from Frankie Wright sent the game to penalties.
Big Jarrod Evans has been sensational for us this season in the absence of Brooklyn Johnson between the sticks, and he again showed his class saving 2 Necton penalties seeing the boys win 5-2 and into the SEMI FINALS!!!

Both Men’s teams are away from home this Saturday.
The First Team make the short trip on the old A17 to Terrington Tigers FC.
Whilst the giant killing Reserves are at East Winch vs Gayton United.
The boys pulled off a cup upset last weekend and are looking to take that form into the league.

Disappointing result for the First team today having clawed their way back into the game from 2-0 down to 2-2, we conceded a late goal and couldn’t recover.
Massive improvement on the performance we gave against the same opponents 3 weeks ago where we were absolutely tonked 9-1.
Man of the Match for us today was Harry Goodbourne, who stepped in at left back for us and put in an absolute shift for 90 minutes 👏👏

Donkey of the game was Chris Cottey, for his attempt at a rabona pass, which went straight to the opposition 🫏🫏

Clean sweep for the boys today.
First team found a way to bounce back after last weeks horror show away at Dersingham.
Boys dug in deep today and showed some real physical and mental strength vs Watlington Football Club.
Some class in the final third from Dean Kerr and Chris Cottey (when him and his arse got back onside 🫣🫣) saw us pick up the 3 points but massive shifts were put in all over the pitch.
Man of the Match today was Harvey Maxwell who lead by example today and picked himself up after last week and was a real leader in defence.
