Dear parents

We are delighted to have been able to start our Friday night training sessions, and appreciate the support we have had from families returning to the club after such a long period of closure.

Unfortunately, last night we had several incidences of unacceptable behaviour from unsupervised children including deliberate damage to a neighbouring property wall with rubble thrown into the garden, children climbing on the bike rack and new paving slabs in the car park, and items being thrown onto the roof of the club.

I would respectfully request that all parents ensure that children are supervised and that you know what they are doing at all times that you are on the premises.

This type of behaviour will not be tolerated in future and if club officials or security witness such incidents in the future the family will be asked to leave the premises.

I hope that you understand that we want families to come and enjoy the facilities we have at the club, but we cannot condone this type of behaviour.

Thank you

Andy Haith
Club Chairman

GAME 3 - Under 11 winπŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Cleethorpes U11 3rd game of the season was a tough game away at Haxey. Winning the toss and choosing to bowl first. Cleethorpes bowling was for the 3rd game in a row excellent. Harry Green and Piran Grayson's opening 4 overs set the tone tight quick bowling from Green and excellent spin from Grayson. Ollie Brown and Olly Hollamby continued the good work with O. Hollamby only conceding 1 run from two overs but Haxey refused to loose wickets and slowly building a good score. The finally bowling pair of Benny and William Hollamby faced off against Haxey strongest batsmen and bowled well keeping thing down until penultimate over went for 15 giving Haxey a useful 252. The last over from W. Hollamby however was superb full straight and fast, taking a 3 wicket maiden to peg Haxey back to 228. Grayson and Jordan Grant got Clethorpes off to a positive start adding +10, then came B. Hollamby and O. Hollamby with a brilliant partnership adding 30 runs in 4 overs with good running and crisp shots. Haxeys bowling was consistently good with very few extras. The tight game continued with Brown and Green being pegged back leaving W.Hollamby and F Warton on 232 with 4 overs to go. It was good partnership not scoring many but keeping the wickets in tact. Cleethorpes finished a high quality game ahead winning by 9 runs.

Cleethorpes u13s hosted GY at a sunny Chichester Road on 26th July. Cleethorpes batted first and a solid opening stand between J Horton and M Chapman saw them pass 50 before Horton was out for 24 his highest score in the 11th over. O Davey was next in and moved the scoreboard on quickly, with firstly Chapman retiring on a well compiled 31, then Davey for 30. N Sutton hit some good late l***y blows with 19 not out. Cleethorpes finishing with a v competitive total of 123 for 3. GY using 6 bowlers who all stuck at it.
Cleethorpes opening bowlers were P Grayson and W Hollamby. Both found a good line and length as did most of the home bowlers, giving v few scoring opportunities to the young GY side. Wickets were shared with Grayson grabbing 2, T Butler 2, O Parker 1, J Ibbotson 1, N Sutton 1 and 8 years old B Hollamby bowling 3 overs, 2 maidens, 1 wicket for 1 run. O Davey keeping v well with a leg side grab, stumping and whipping the bails off for a couple of run outs. Special mention to N Sutton who finished the innings with a direct throw from the deep. GY finishing all out for 17.
A game played in a good spirit by both sides in front of a large crowd of appreciative parents and supporters.

🏏🏏🏏JUNIOR MATCH REPORT🏏🏏🏏

🏏Match 1🏏
Cleethorpes U11 team kicked off their season with a tough game away at Louth CC. Winning the toss they chose to bat in their first game together as a team. It was a slow start losing 5 wickets from the first 8 overs.
Piran Grayson batting with Oliver Greenbeck then Benny and Olly Hollamby. Harry Green and Ollie Brown put a better partnership together for the third pair with Ollie Brown scoring 15 good runs with some lovely shots, the only blemish a run out after a fantastic direct hit from the Louth CC fielder. The final pair of Freddie Warton and William Hollamby finished strongly losing no wickets and scoring 24 together with Wills top scoring with 16 runs meaning Cleethorpes ended with a reasonable 232.
Cleethorpes U11 Bowling performance was an excellent effort from all players in 16 overs, only giving away 1 wide and
5 No Balls in total. Harry Green, Benny Hollamby and William Hollamby in particular bowling all quick straight deliveries throughout their spells. A performance that lead to Louth CC manager saying it was one of the best team bowling displays they have faced at U11 level. Unfortunately credit has to go to some technically excellent batting from Louth who refused to give away their wickets. They only lost 1 wicket and this proved to be the difference as Louth triumphed, scoring 279 in a really enjoyable great advert for U11 Cricket.
🏏Match 2🏏
Cleethorpes U11 played their first home game of the season against Normanby Park on Friday night. Batting first Cleethorpes put on a very competitive 277 run total. Piran Grayson and Oliver Greenbeck opened the batting again but had a tricky start against some good bowling. Benny and Olly Hollamby batting together for the second partnership got things moving putting on an excellent 31 runs without losing a wicket both scoring their first 4s for the club. Jordan Grant batting with Ollie Brown top scored with a well made 20. The final partnership of William Hollamby and Freddie Warton finished the innings off positively facing the best of Normanbys bowling but both making double figures, 14 and 11.
Cleethorpes bowling display was again superb taking 12 wickets and restricting Normanby to 154. Ollie Brown took 3 good wickets and was well supported with W Hollamby, Grayson, Greenbeck and Grant all taking two wickets.
O Hollamby finished off the wicket taking bowling 3 quality overs with two being maidens. Cleethorpes winning comfortably after a great all round performance.
