Last Sunday 23rd March, the bowling season kicked off with a lively round-robin pairs handicap tournament for the prestigious John Blackburn Trophy 🏆

Expertly organised by John Ineson who brought together 32 enthusiastic bowlers, who also enjoyed a mouth watering chicken curry with all the fixings cooked by Jason Townend and sandwiches lovingly prepared by Janice Walton which kept everyone fueled.

Andy Robinson and Ian Gatenby triumped over Josh Walker and Helen Seed in the semi-final, to claim the trophy.

The day was filled with laughter, camaraderie and new friendships making for a fantastic season opener.
