Poor hedgehog arrival earlier this week, with a broken hind leg and crawling with maggots, such dreadful suffering. Please keep an eye out for these guys, they’re really struggling.

Thank you Lee for the photo. A very sad moment..to see this cygnet with a hook in its beak. This is only the second time there has been a trauma for the cygnets. Hopefully it will be the last. A massive "Thank you " as well to the Yorkshire Swan Rescue Hospital. They responded to our call from this morning. It seems the hook must have made its way out of the cygnets beak before they arrived. They have ringed the cygnets whilst they were at the dam. We are feeling very proud just now that we have five beautiful birds ringed to Mann Dam in Cleckheaton. May they have very long and happy lives when they do finally leave us. Also.." Thank You " to everyone !!! who has shown care and concern for the Swans, followed this page, fed them ,and contacted us when there has been a problem. Time is going fast now and it will not be too far in the future when they leave us. We may be very lucky and find someone may return. Fingers crossed.

One of our beautiful patients. This young cub was found curled up on rocks on Robin hoods Bay beach! He is walking on all fours and not injured (we suspect another creature to tumble off the cliff) but he was quite dehydrated. A few days here and he is doing much much better 🦡
