🚨🚨 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨🚨
This is a bitter sweet post for me to write.
I'll get through the important things first.
On Friday the 10th of October HAMMA West Yorkshire will close its doors for the final time.
This has been one of the most difficult decisions to make but for the sake of me and my children ive had to make it and both me and Micheala are devastated.
The truth is that when I opened this gym I had a vision to help and serve the community through a sport that I have given my life to and my motivation was the late great Neil Hall who coached me in MMA and life. We were originally meant to open the gym together but life had other plans so I proceeded alone. Then Micheala came along and was the perfect fit.
The vision was mainly to help and inspire the youth. The truth is that there is not much left for the local community especially the youth and i wanted to bridge that gap.
I am truly grateful to have worked with at risk children, children with learning difficulties and children just trying to find their way in life. With the support of Micheala I believe we succeeded in that and we have left the place better than we found it.
But all is not lost!
I will still be coaching at the Training Cave in Birstall with an amazing group of people who are set out to achieve the same things that I value.
Me and Micheala will be looking to set up somewhere in the near future to continue the work with the youth in some way and you are all more than welcome to come to the training cave and learn the beautiful art of boxing in a qualified certified gym. (Not unlicensed).
All memberships will be cancelled from my side today and you are all welcome to continue training until the close. All I ask is that when your membership expires you pay for your training session by session.
We want to thank you for your commitment, hard work and great energy you have brought to the gym and our lives and we will carry that with us forever.
And remember, we're always here for you. Gym or no gym, just reach out ❤️
