151 parkrunners and walkers braved the East Lancashire drizzle this morning, supported by 18 wonderful volunteers!
Did anyone else notice RD’s Carl’s blooper a couple of minutes before this recording? Apparently you can get discount off the defibrillator if you show your barcode in the cafe 😂

A little parking reminder for Saturday 🚗

If you can avoid parking on Woodland Drive, please do. We’d really appreciate people using other parking options wherever possible and leaving the spaces around Woodland Drive for the residents who live there.

If you really do need to park on the Woodland Drive estate, please park considerately — don’t double park, don’t block driveways, and always leave enough room for emergency vehicles and residents to get in and out.

As you can see from the signs we’ve put up, we’re trying to do our bit to make sure parking doesn’t cause problems for the residents.

We’d like to think that the cars causing issues aren’t parkrun goers, but we can’t always know who every car belongs to. So if you are parking nearby, please take that extra moment to check that you’re not causing an obstruction.

We’re incredibly lucky to have such a supportive local community around us, and we really don’t want parkrun to become a nuisance to the people who live here.

Park nicely. Leave plenty of room. Be a good neighbour.
