On Saturday we had our end of season awards do in Chelmsford celebrating another season together. ⚽️🍻

A final day defeat for us yesterday with a 4-0 loss to Silver Oyster. With a depleted squad we always knew it was going to be tough with Silver Oyster going for the title. Unfortunately for us it was the hosts who came out firing on all cylinders with the win sealing them the Divison One title, so congratulations to them.

Overall a positive season for ourselves with a mid table finish and a cup final to add, which we unfortunately came up short in.

A much needed break for the boys now, as we look forward to our end of season do on the 13th June.

Thanks for everyone’s support for this season, and we’ll get ready to do it all again in a few months time! 👏⚽️

A bit of fun this morning as we did spin the wheel for positions in our penultimate game of the season which resulted in a 8-0 defeat to Pathfields Reserves.

It wasn’t the result we were looking for but the boys certainly all had a good laugh. We now look ahead to our final game of the season next Sunday as take on Silver Oyster at Shrub End! ⚽️

Certainly a game of two halves yesterday as we unfortunately fell to a 3-2 defeat to Gas Lights in the Hewitt Memorial League Cup Final.

Gas Lights took an early lead after a long ball over the top caught the defence napping as it was slotted into the back of the net from close range. This seemed to be a bit of a wake up call from the lads and it didn’t take long for us to get the equaliser with an absolute screamer from Luke Wyatt finding the top right hand corner of the goal leaving the keeper with no chance. The boys certainly looked fired up, and we added a second in quick succession as Harry Pinkney’s long range strike found the bottom right hand corner to put us 2-1 ahead as we went into the half time break full of confidence.

Second half and it was Gas Lights who certainly upped the tempo as they looked to get an equaliser. Which came early into the half with some good build up play and another finish from close range.

Despite our efforts we struggled to really test the Gas Lights keeper in the second half. Which came back to bite us as Gas Lights went 3-2 ahead with powerful header from close range. We pushed on looking to get back into the game but ultimately came up short with Gas Lights sealing the win.

We always knew it going to be tough but credit to the lads we certainly gave the Premier Division champions a good test, and a great game for the neutrals.

The lads can be proud of their performance yesterday and achievements this season.

We now look ahead to our penultimate fixture of the season this Sunday as we host Pathfields Reserves at Shrub End! ⚽️🏆

This Sunday we take on Gas Lights in the Hewitt Memorial League Cup Final at Holland FC, Dulwich Road, Holland-on-Sea, CO15 5HP ⚽️🏆
