B869 Road Closure Assistance

Just a reminder that the road remains open just now until 9am Monday 9th January at which point it will close. Open at 11am for 15 mins and at 1.15pm for 45 mins and then open again at 4pm until 9am the following morning.

David Logan from Caledonian Water
phoned me back and the road will definitely be closed as of Monday 21st and will keep to the schedule that we all have been given. He explained that it was done with the best intentions and was a last minute decision not to close the road. He has promised to keep me informed as well as send an emergency letter out if anything changes. They hope to finish this phase before Christmas but again will let me know as soon as they know how the work progresses. Hope that helps - please let people know that are not on FB if you can and please spread the word locally!

Ok, I've spoken to David Logan who is the contact for the contractor and he is going to check with the "men on the ground" and see if he can get an update regarding the various information that has come from them. Wil keep you all informed...

Hi, I have set up this page so that we can all help each other out by running errands for those that can't get into Lochinver or back when the road is open. I'll kick it off - I am going to Lochinver today in time for the 11am opening and will be returning during the lunchtime opening of 1pm - 1.45pm. If anyone needs anything taking in or picking up then I am happy to help. Flossie's have very kindly agreed to act as a repository for anything that needs dropping off or collecting - please share this page amongst your local contacts and lets try to make this whole thing less painful!
