Little Farriers Lake - Carp Society

Little Farriers Lake - Carp Society Little Farriers is a Carp fishing lake, available for private hire for up to four anglers on a 3, 4 or 7 day basis.

The 3 acre lake is situated in the Cotswold boasts stock in excess of one hundred Carp up to 40lb long with scores of Tench and Rudd. The 3 acre lake is situated in the Cotswold, near South Cerney has previously been referred to as Farriers 'back lake'. It has been lightly fished over several years and stocks are in excess of fifty carp to mid-thirties along with scores of Tench. There are just eight swims cut against a tree lined backdrop so the ambience is a return to a more natural setting. Toilet and fresh water facilities are available at the main syndicate lake around three hundred metres away. Parking is secure and the site locked at all times. The walk from the secure parking area is around 400 metres so we advise bringing a barrow!

🎣 Little Farriers Update 🎣

We've been so busy with the Fishing Shows and Junior Carp Camps that we've fallen behind on our capture reports, but thankfully Little Farriers has continued to deliver some fantastic results over the last couple of months.

June kicked off with an incredible post-spawn haul as Simon and Vinny filmed on the lake, landing a string of carp during their session. (We'll add the video in the comments if you haven't seen it yet!)

The action continued when Tim's group enjoyed an outstanding midweek, banking 45 carp to 33lb over five days.

Next up was Russell's weekend group, who finished their trip with 9 carp, including a superb 38lb 8oz.

And most recently, Mark and a friend joined us for a 48-hour session at the end of July and landed 8 carp, including three fish over the magical 30lb mark.

Tucked away behind the main Farriers Lake, Little Farriers enjoys a quiet setting with very basic facilities, ideal for those seeking solitude and privacy. Secure parking is available at Farriers Lake, with a barrow walk to the venue.

The lake holds around 100 carp, with fish to 43lb; the largest recorded so far this year is 39lb.

All nets, unhooking mats and slings are provided, and once checked in by the bailiff, your group is left to enjoy uninterrupted exclusive fishing.

After a tricky start, the four anglers finished the week with 26 bites, including a beautiful 29lb 8oz Zip Linear. A great mix of commons, fully scaled and zip linears, all looking in fantastic condition.

Shane shared: "After struggling on this lake during previous trips with friends before the Winter Syndicate began, I decided to return to the basics of fishing and use the rig that has consistently worked well for me—my version of the simple multi rig. I opted for my trusted Baitworks Monster Red 12mm single popup, accompanied by 8-10 boilies on top. The results came from daytime bites in the margins, resulting in some beautiful carp (as shown in the pictures) and delivering one of the best Winter fishing experiences I've had in several years."
