I’m so excited to be part of the You, Me and the Menopause Fayre happening tomorrow at Boutflour Hall RAU come along and say hello!!

Zumba can actually be a surprisingly effective tool for managing many of the physical and emotional changes that come with perimenopause and menopause. It's certainly not a cure-all, but it hits several of the key areas that tend to shift during this stage of life.
First, there's the cardiovascular benefit. Zumba can be essentially a high-energy aerobic workout, which helps support heart health at a time when the risk of cardiovascular issues increases after menopause. Regular sessions can also help manage weight gain, which is very common due to hormonal changes and a slowing metabolism.
It's also useful for bone and muscle health.

Zumba isn't as targeted as strength training, the weight-bearing, impact movements still contribute to maintaining bone strength and muscle tone.
However, mood and mental health are where Zumba really shines. The combination of music, movement, and social interaction can boost endorphins and reduce symptoms of anxiety, irritability, and low mood-things many of us experience during perimenopause. It can also help with sleep, which is often disrupted during this time.
