Our foundation was established in 2023 after our founder, Katharine, stepped away from running Spiral Dance Studio as she decided to focus on Cheeky Feet and SENsory Movers alongside experienced teacher, Michele. Coming from a background in Education and Psychology, Katharine knows how important dance and movement is for improving physical health, emotional wellbeing and social development. We val
ue participation over perfection and strive to make dance accessible to all. Cheeky Feet Toddlers (for children aged 1 (and confidently walking) - 3 years and their parent/caregiver):
Our Cheeky Feet Toddlers classes are fun and magical movement sessions inspiring our youngest dancers to express themselves creatively with the encouragement and participation of their parent/caregiver. We focus on exploring relationships and connections with other children and adults in the group. Cheeky Feet Pre-School (3- 4 years without parent/carer):
These classes capture the imagination and creativity of your 3 - 4 year old by using a different theme each term to engage and inspire our dancers. We introduce basic ballet technique and terminology whilst exploring concepts such as size, direction, body parts, relationships and speed. Our classes are specifically developed using the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework to boost skills such as physical development, communication and social and emotional development. Cheeky Feet Reception:
Cheeky Feet Reception is specifically for children in their first year of primary school as we know it is such an important year for these children. We focus primarily on ballet and creative movement with a greater emphasis on terminology and learning short sequences in a positive and creative environment. SENsory Movers:
We aim to provide everybody with the opportunity to dance, by catering for different ages, abilities and needs. We are passionate about supporting those with additional needs/special educational needs (SEN) who may otherwise shy away from regular classes. To us everyone is an individual and we know dance brings so much enjoyment and benefits such as making friends, building confidence, helping with balance, concentration and improving fitness. We are proud to have two classes dedicated to children with disabilities on Saturdays at Paternoster School Sports Hall
Sensory Movers 1: 11:00 - 11:40am (for children aged 3+ who require minimal parental support to participate)
Sensory Movers 2: 11:50 - 12:30pm (for children aged 3+ who require parental support to participate)
We use exciting themes, repeated dance activities and props to not only boost physical development but to encourage social interaction, confidence and creativity. We value the importance of dance for children’s physical and social development and look forward to working with your child to support their journey through dance.
