WELCOME TO FOREST DOJO SPORT KARATE CENTRE 🥋

As we head into another week at Forest Dojo, we thought it was the perfect time to share a little more about who we are, what we teach and the classes we offer.
Forest Dojo has been part of the Forest of Dean community since 2015, and over the years we’ve grown into much more than just a Karate club — we’re proud to be a friendly, supportive martial arts family.

Whether you’re looking for a class for your child, somewhere to train together as a family, a new challenge as an adult, or the opportunity to progress into advanced training and competition, there’s a place for you at Forest Dojo.

🎂HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADS! 🎂

Today we would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Mads, someone who has been a huge part of Forest Dojo for many years.

Mads is preparing to take her 2nd Dan this year, has won Student of the Year, and has achieved numerous podium finishes in Kickboxing, Karate Kumite and Kata. She is also Vice Captain of our Karate Team.

But what makes me most proud is her dedication to the Dojo. She helps coach around the club, supports our students and still finds the time to concentrate on her own training and development.

Mads and I have built a wonderful relationship on the mats. We bounce off each other when coaching, and I genuinely believe we bring out the best in one another and, most importantly, bring out the best in our students.
Your effort, loyalty and dedication are second to none, Mads, and as your Sensei, I am incredibly proud of the martial artist and coach you have become.

Have a fantastic birthday ,you deserve it! ❤️🥋

🥋 GOOD LUCK TO ALL OUR FOREST DOJO STUDENTS! 🎒📚

As many of our students return to school or college this week, we’d like to wish every one of you a fantastic start to the new term.
A special good luck to those taking a big new step ,starting secondary school, moving to a new school, or beginning college for the very first time. 💪
Remember some of the same things we talk about at the Dojo:

⭐ Believe in yourself
⭐ Be confident
⭐ Stay focused
⭐ Work hard
⭐ Be kind and respectful
⭐ And don’t be afraid of a new challenge!

Whether it’s stepping onto the mats or walking through the doors of a new school or college, believe in yourself and give it your best.

🥋 COME AND DISCOVER FOREST DOJO SPORT KARATE CENTER 🥋

Here’s a short video showing some of our students, from different grades and levels, working through their focus mitt and pad combinations.

This is just one part of what we teach at Forest Dojo.

Our aim is to provide modern, enjoyable and progressive Karate training where students can develop at their own pace — whether they want to improve their confidence and fitness, learn new skills, work towards their next belt or progress into competition.

Our classes include:

🥋 Karate technique & syllabus work
🥊 Focus mitts, pads & martial arts striking
👊 Kumite / sparring
🥋 Kata
🤝 Pairs work & self-protection
💪 Bag work, fitness & conditioning

But for us, martial arts training is about much more than learning how to kick and punch.

We want our students to develop confidence, self-esteem, focus, discipline and respect, while making new friends and being part of a friendly and supportive club.

One of the things we are most proud of at Forest Dojo is the range of people who train with us. You don't have to be an experienced martial artist or want to compete.

Complete beginners are always welcome.

We have classes to suit different ages and levels:

⭐ Karate Kidz — ages 6–9
⭐ Youth — ages 10–13
⭐ Teens & Adults
⭐ Family Classes
⭐ Advanced Classes
⭐ Squad Training
