SENIORS MATCH REPORT πŸ’šπŸ’™

So today we travelled to 147 in Swindon to face Wiltshire having lost our last fixture against Somerset we desperately needed to turn up today and get a big win.

There were they didn't start the best as we lost the first set 4-3

In set two we bounced back but not before falling further behind 6-3 up stepped Andy Williams to get us going with a lovely dish then we leveled up the scores 6-6 going into leg three..

Onto leg three

And this time there was no mistakes from the team taking the next six frames and a very good grasp on the match.

And with one leg to go at the scores 13-6 one final push was needed to pick up as many points as possible as this could come into play come the end of the season.

Going into leg four and it could not have gone better, a clean sweep winning 7 on the bounce with dishes in the last leg from jamie moray quinny and the birthday boy Lee fox completing a big win 20-8

3/4 from every player this month has made the m.o.m a difficult choice

So I will go with Mike quinn πŸŸ’πŸ”΅πŸŸ’

C TEAM MATCH REPORT πŸ’šπŸ’™

We travelled to Wiltshire with a squad i was absolutely confident we could pick up a result. we found ourselves 3-0 down from the off. In the past we might’ve let that get to us, but not this time. we made sure heads stayed up. the support was quality from us all and Del, Kris, Jack & JP rattled off the next four πŸ’ͺ🏼 🎱

We narrowly lost the first set 5-4, but then found our momentum which i believe is critical in this format of pool and absolutely flew through the second 7-2, including an unbelievable 45-minute tactical frame from JP which took me away with how well thought out he’d played it πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

We edged the third set 5-4, with Rich, Myself & Len grabbing important frames before Scotty Edwards called a break dish… and actually delivered it! AND GAVE IT SOME TOO!! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ’ͺπŸΌπŸ‘ŠπŸ½ YES. THE SHED. 🫢🏼

Wiltshire was showing signs of a fight back in the final with some fortunate nicks and touches here & there to seal frames, but Scotty Jnr secured the draw before Kris Burnard produced the frame of the day & in my eyes one of the best frames i’ve genuinely ever seen. with his opponent looking nailed on to clear, and leaving the black and his last yellow over both pockets blocking out Kris reds. he somehow pulled out around six (could be more my memory is p**s) perfectly placed snookers whilst also working his balls into pottable position and eventually cleared under massive pressure after seeing us fail to grasp that winning frame in the last 2 on the opposite table with kris watching over to clinch our first win in months. The boys erupted! & i take my hat off to Kris for working & clearing the table under that pressure! pure class. πŸŽ±πŸ‘πŸΌ

From there the atmosphere was unbelievable and we rattled off the final four frames to seal a 22-14 winπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ’ͺ🏼

i was proud to captain these lads today and ridiculously humbled by everyone’s efforts, togetherness & the atmosphere we produced. a proper team performance. proud as punch for the squad today πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸŽ±

MOTM this month is a ridiculously hard shout when everyone played out their skin. John Paul, Kris & Del Boy all went 3/4. but my MOTM this month goes to JP. having struggled in recent weeks, to turn up with the composure & calm attitude he did today was second to none and best i have seen him play in the green and blue, WP John Paul 🀝 πŸ’™πŸ’š

Wiltshire B 16 - Gloucestershire B 20 πŸŸ’πŸ”΅πŸŽ±

With a bottom of the table clash on the cards was today going to be the day we finally got that first elusive win???

With our usual good start we got out of the blocks with a steady first section win taking down our opponents 5-4 the confidence was good and expectations were high.

However we stumbled and stumbled badly in section 2 losing 6 out of the first 7 frames before the ever steady Stu β€œThe Bone” Wright stepped in to stop the rot.we managed to take the last 2 frames leaving us trailing at the half way point 10-8 down.

Leg 3 started positively with classy frames from Lee Fox and Scott Edwards Snr spurring us on to a 6-3 section win and an important 14-13 lead.

Leg 4 was exactly the same a dominant performance before Matt Hobbs took us to the hill and The real Scott Edwards sealed the teams much deserved first win of the 2026 season leading us out victorious 20-16 winners.

Our M.O.M today goes to Lee Fox 🦊 for his fantastic 4/4 in only his 2nd county outing this season and on his 40th birthday aswell πŸ‘.

Two other players deserve a shout out for their 3/4 performances today
Scott Edwards and The one and only Stu Bone.

A special shout out to each and everyone who made the trip today. All of you all helped us achieve the big W

A TEAM MATCH REPORT πŸ’™πŸ’š

Wiltshire A 13 Gloucestershire A 13 🎱

We travelled to bottom of the league Wiltshire, with a near on full strength team, with only Luke Marrot unavailable.

We had a slow start, falling behind 3-1, but we quickly rectified this taking a 6-3 lead at the end of the first set. We continued to keep Wiltshire at β€˜arms length’ finishing the 2nd set 11-7 ahead. However, it was the 3rd set where damage was done, opening the gap to 18-9. Eventually, we ended up winning a comfortable 23-13.

A great performance by the side, with good atmosphere and banter throughout.

A special mention to Nathan Overthrow who won 4/4 and remains impressively top of the region. Nevertheless, man of the match was given to Andy β€˜Dubz’ Williams, who also won 4/4, including a four cushion black, celebrating in typical β€˜Eric Cantona’ fashion, with his arms aloft, staring out the watching crowd!

It really is coming to the business end of the season, with 2nd place starting to become a real possibility, but can we win those massive games against North Somerset and Devon in the next couple of months? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈπŸ₯Š
