JOIN US ON AN AUTUMN WALK THROUGH FFYNONE WOOD

Date: SATURDAY 22nd November 2025

Meet at 10:30 in the lower car park by the entrance to Ffynone wood

Grid Ref: SN242382. what3words: jammy.matrons.stump

Route:A circular walk on tracks through the woodland, with an opportunity to learn about the history of the mansion and estate,and option to visit a magical waterfall at the end.

Length and duration: About 3.5miles, allowing 2-3 hours.Bring snack if desired.
Level:Relatively easy and firm underfoot, though there are a few steep slopes.

Nice autumn colours and lovely views for our last Strollers walk this year. We went along the river at St Dogmaels and finished with coffee at the Coach House.

We look forward to seeing you all again next Spring and hope you get out for some strolls of your own before then.

Nice autumn Strollers walk today with lovely colours and loads of acorns underfoot. Apparently it’s a “mast” year with an abundance of beech nuts and acorns.

Strollers had a pleasant footpath walk across fields from Penybryn this morning. The meadowsweet was glorious along the hedges and we saw lots of ringlet butterflies. Stopped to photograph and saw a grasshopper.

Our next walk in two weeks will be along the board walk at Cenarth. Meeting at 10am outside the Cardiff Arms as usual.

Strollers enjoyed a walk along the coast path near Aberporth on Monday with coffee afterwards at a members caravan. Thank you very much. It was a beautiful day and views and very relaxing.
