White Noise Stage II - Coming for the 2019 Season!

here is the reason for the lack of page updates. We have decided to build a completely new tractor to run in the B class Mini modified. After 18 months of planning and sourcing major components, we are almost ready to start the build properly. the new tractor will be based around a 496cui Tall Deck BBC, with a full clutch, aluminium gearbox and mercedes rear axle. we will also run Pioneer puller tires on aluminium wheels, and a modern chassis, with a lower centre of gravity and further forward driving position than the old tractor. All of the tractor has been designed on CAD, enabling all of the plate components to be lazer cut.

Great Eccleston
After Kirkbride, we had a pull 2 weeks later at Great Eccleston Show. The tractor went brilliantly, with a strong 2nd place in the 950kg class on the Saturday. However, an issue with the steering meant that we only recieved hook points in the 1050kg class on the Sunday. We have changed all of the steering as a result. Thanks to Paul and Mark Pacey for all of their help in transporting the tractor to the event and helping to fine tune the tractor.

Last weekend, we ran in Great Eccleston at the Eurocup Finals event. We hooked in the 950kg class on Friday night, and a strong run on a tricky track resulted in a 2nd place. A problem with the sledge meant that the 1050kg class was cancelled, but we were very happy with the weekend overall. Our next event is in 2 weeks time at Laughton show.

Kirkbride 2017:
The First Run with the new parts in the engine went well, with a 3rd place in the 950kg class and a 4th place in the 1050kg class. Many Thanks to Paul and Tom Pacey for all of their help over the weekend. The tractor was still over fuelling, so some alterations needed before Great Eccleston Show.

Cuckoo Spring Fayre 2017
After Making a lot of changes to White Noise during the winter, we were keen to find out if these changes would work. At the first PPA event of the season, Cuckoo Spring fayre, We tested our new Carb and fuel system setup, as well as the chassis alterations. The Results were promising, with 2 4th place finishes. However, We sustained some damage as a result of a piece of Aluminium making its way into one of the cylinder bores, damaging the top of the piston. We have repaired the piston, and during the rebuild we also found some small damage to the camshaft and a few of the lifters. We have fitted a different performance steel camshaft, as well as roller lifters and roller rockers. Our next event is on the 1st and 2nd July, at the Cumbria Power Weekend, Many thanks to Tractor Pulling Team Witchcraft for help re-building the engine, and to Paul Pacey for allowing us to buy the new parts for our engine. Big thanks to Paul also giving us transport for the next event!
