Access in and out of Carding Mill Valley will be closed this Friday evening 24th April whilst Shropshire Council resurface the road junction. Please note our tearoom and toilets will close at 4pm to ensure the car park is cleared by 5pm.

Shropshire Highways would like to provide an update on the resurfacing works at site B5477 – Shrewsbury Road Star Ln Jct-High Street.

ROAD CLOSURE WARNING - Please note the B5477 - Shrewsbury Road is being resurfaced by Shropshire Council Highways from Monday 13th April so access to Carding Mill Valley by vehicles will be restricted. Please plan your visit with time and patience in mind.

Unfortunately, our dishwasher is broken at present so we are having to use single-use cups. We also have ongoing issues with our heating and hot water system limiting washing up abilities.

Supply chain issues means this will continue for the next few weeks.
We are extremely sorry and share visitors frustration with this.
Please remember if you bring your own reusable cup you get 25p discount on every hot drink.

✨New!! If you are coming to Carding Mill Valley & the Longmynd by bike 🚵‍♀️ or to enjoy a day on the trails, you can now stand or lock up your pride and joy safely. The new bike rack is in full view of the tearoom so you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments and a re-fuel.

There is space to stand up to 12 bikes, and a pump for use as well, should you find you need a little more pressure.

Shropshire Council have completed the main resurfacing works in Carding Mill Valley today Friday 16th Jan. This means the road closure next week will not be in place. The car park, tearoom and toilets will be back open as usual from tomorrow morning.

⛔ Visitor notice - car park and tearoom closure ⛔

Shropshire Council are resurfacing the road into Carding Mill Valley. For two weeks, from tomorrow (Monday 12 January), the visitor car park and Chalet Pavilion Tearoom will be closed Monday - Friday. Pedestrian and Residential access only on weekdays. The car park and tearoom will be open at weekends during this time.
