4 weeks post chemo and what a day to be alive! Gorgeous 4 mile walk with and . My body is certainly still recovering this is a walk I used to run up to the top but today was lovely just to take one step at a time and enjoy the company and the amazing views and surrounds. Getting out in nature is so good for the soul , body and minds .

Just a little update for all my followers .. so after a 4 week break in my treatment it turns out the suspected hernia isn’t a hernia but subcutaneous stranding 🤷‍♀️ anyway I have been given the all clear after my bowel resection to now start exercise and to recommence chemo to tomorrow 💪 I have initially been trying to build up my fitness so I’ve been setting myself a target of 10000 metres on my bike and slowly introducing weights . My time this morning was 28 minutes and 21 seconds it would have been quicker but bloody postman came to the door it definately took 2 minutes off my time 😂 anyway 5 more Chemo to go praying no more delays and and I will be taking a well deserved break ! Suggestions welcome. Love you all and thanks to my amazing friends and family for all their support , lifts to hospital and all the amazing meals that have been delivered over the past year. I know people say thats it, your done you beat this but it’s not as easy as that for those who have been through a cancer diagnosis will understand it’s something that I feel will always be with me I just need to try and put it in a box and carrying on living my life. I will be having regular scans and don’t want to feel like I’m living scan to scan i feel re adjustment may be hard but I can honestly say the main thing that has got me through is my love of exercise and not being able to do anything since my surgery has been more mentally tough than I could have imagined . If I can give you one piece of advice to those who don’t exercise please start it’s never too late and age is just a number ###x

Not posted for a while so just a little update and Monday motivation it’s been over 3 months since I’ve been on my bike this is due to major surgery and cancer treatment. I haven’t been able to do any form of weights since my surgery in November and I’m now waiting to hear if I need surgery for a possible hernia so I still can’t lift my beloved weights but I had a little talk with myself and said come on sue there is no reason why you can’t just do 5 minutes on your bike so I set my self a target of just 5 minutes. After 5 minutes I felt ok and said to myself let’s just do another 5 and before I knew it I had done 30 minutes and I managed to do my usual 10,000 metres. It just goes to show I honestly believe we can do anything when we put our minds to it. What’s stopping you achieve your goals ? I actually haven’t set myself any goals at the moment as I don’t want to put any extra pressure on myself so I’m just taking each day and trying to enjoy myself till my next chemo treatment starts. Love life and don’t deprive yourself of the things you love life is too short have a great months lots of love 💕
