Get ready for a fantastic weekend at Fowlers Wells, where Chobham Rugby Club play! Come along and have a good time. We’ll be serving Simmons Family Butchers Classic Steak n’ Guinness Pies, plus two new pasties. We’re also excited to welcome Cruz Campo into our b**r selection, along with Real Ale from Tribute and Windsor Knott. Then, on Sunday, we’re kicking off our first training session for the minis and juniors. Feel free to bring your children to give rugby a try, all under the guidance of our excellent coaches at the club. And don’t forget, the bar and kitchen will be open all weekend.

🚨NEW SIGNING🚨

A really positive pre season just gets better with the news of our latest new signing, Ronan Walker.

Ronan played his junior rugby at Salisbury and Andover and represented Welsh Exiles at U16 level. After joining the Army in 2019 he has represented the Army U23s as well as the Royal Engineers.

He also spent time playing for Kinloss Eagles in the north of Scotland, being part of their National Bowl Winning side 🏆

Ronan commented, “After two seasons of not playing consistently, I’m really excited to get back into things properly. After speaking with the coaches, the ambitions for the club and the direction the team wants to go in are really clear, which was a big attraction for me. The last few training sessions have been great and the lads have been really welcoming, which has made it easy to settle in. I’m looking forward to getting the season started, contributing wherever I can and hopefully pulling on a Chobham shirt very soon.”

Head Coach Robbie Kennard added, “Welcome to the squad, Ronan! He’s trained really hard over the first few weeks and has already shown a great attitude and willingness to work. He has fitted in really well and displayed the kind of on and off field attributes that are absolute gold dust in a playing group. Looking forward to seeing him continue to develop and make his mark in Chobham colours this season.”

Can’t wait to see Ronan in action as the boys finally get a number on their backs on Saturday 5th September at home to Teddington.

Dear Chobham Community

After 5 months of hard work getting our community rugby pitches ready for 800 local men, women and children to come back and enjoy sport - we have today found that someone has taken it upon themselves to ride a motorbike around the pitches causing significant damage.

This is criminal damage. We have CCTV of the culprit and have reported to police and will prosecute.

These pitches are private property and we love to let the community use them - but with the regular damage we may have no choice but to prevent any public access to stop this criminal damage.

Saturday 5th September sees rugby return to Fowlers Wells as Chobham host Teddington RFC for their first hit out of the new season.

Get down to the Club to enjoy some competitive, if potentially rusty, rugby from two quality sides gearing up for another Regional 2 season. Lots of experienced favourites on show as well as some new exciting talent…
