Chipping Norton Zumba

Hello everyone,

So here is my final invoice from the town council. Despite assurances from the council that they’d look into supporting me this hasn’t happened and without support from the community I have lost over £200 trying to bring Zumba to Chipping Norton. Unfortunately I do not have any faith in starting up again in the New Year and honestly cannot afford to.

Thank you so much to the 5-7 intrepid ladies who have been there since the start of the class, I’ve enjoyed spending our weekly hour of exercise together and I’m sorry we couldn’t make it work.

Class will be running tomorrow (26th) all being well. I’ve got a van so should be ok travelling over to Chippy to dance with you all! 💚

Hi everyone,

Thank you to the dedicated ladies who attended last night, unfortunately with only 6 of you it meant another heavy £20 loss making the total I’ve made over the past 4 weeks at minus £40.

Sadly I cannot sustain this. I will contact the town hall to see if they can lower the hall cost however I need more than 6 people so 1. The regulars don’t feel guilty if they’re unavoidably away and 2. There’s a good class atmosphere.

Currently next week will be the last week unless there are positive signs that the class will work.

Hey everyone! Looking forward to another session at the town hall tomorrow!

I thought I’d let you all know that we’ve got a Zumbathon at Carterton Leisure Centre this coming Saturday. It’s a 2 hour movie inspired playlist that we’re dancing to with a mix of low and high impact songs.

You don’t have to be a member of the centre to join us. It’s £10 per person x

The playlist is ready, the speakers will be tested tonight ready for tomorrow’s first class and then the final countdown begins!

You can pay by cash or card on the night. I do get charged for card payments so would prefer cash but understand it’s not something you carry as much as we used to when I first started up Zumba classes!

This is one of the class’ favourite songs in Zumba, it never fails to make me smile when we dance to it and it’s less than a week until we dance together at Chippy town hall! 🥳

Looking forward to meeting you all on Tuesday the 22nd. Bring your friends, bring both your left feet and leave your worries at the door. There’ll be no judgement on your dance styles or what direction you’re going cause it’s the moving that burns the calories not how well your hips move to Salsa!
