What a fantastic Australian Open Men's Final, only made better by watching it together. The fantastic team at The Wychwood Inn prepared the night before, setting up the tables and chairs, the screen and the hot drinks stand, ready for our early start. We all bustled in, half awake, ready to watch Alcaraz and Djokovic battle it out on that famous blue court Downunder!
Soon into the first set, we had our delicious breakfast butties with tea and coffee, and a mere four hours later, we sat with bated breath as the two legends tested each other in every way, both clearly fighting with everything they had to win that trophy.
Alcaraz walked away triumphant, but the real winners were sat in the pub on a Sunday morning, being part of a wonderful community, with a shared love for the sport of tennis. How lucky we are! 💚
