Slowly returning to exercise after birth… and wow, it’s no joke. 😅
Hats off to all the mums out there — this journey is not easy, and every step takes patience (and often, very early mornings).
I’ve been diagnosed with a pretty significant diastasis, so I’m starting gently and intentionally. Right now, that looks like:
🫁 Deep breathing work
🦴 Pelvic floor connection
🔥 TA activations
🧘♀️ Postnatal Pilates from my own online library (practising what I preach!)
I’ve also just started using the Wattbike again and adding in lighter weight sessions to help rebuild strength and support my pelvic floor — slowly but surely. And yes… I was up at 5am this morning to fit it in! 😅
Plus, I’ve just started back at Becky’s classes which have been amazing — and even better, there are refreshments after! Such a lovely way to ease back in and connect with others. 💛
Walking is still my favourite way to move postpartum — and sometimes the only way to get out of the house.
This season is all about patience, progress, and learning to work with a new body — not against it.
To every mum navigating this: you’re doing incredibly. ✨
Looking forward to returning to teach Wednesday morning 11.15am matwork classes in October!!
