GGL Racing made the trip to Anglesey for round 7, 8 and 9 of NG road racing. A huge thank you to Gary Akerman for fixing the race van in such a short turn around from Cadwell park. Is there anything the man cannot fix?

First was Friday test day, a chance for both lads to get their bikes set up and dialed. George worked with SWB suspension and got his set up dialed. Liam also got his bike dialed throughout the day ready for a weekend of racing. Friday evening we were joined by special guest and now infamous DJ Marcus 😂

Saturday

George :
qualifying: P1 🏆
Race 1 : P1 🏆 - Managed to pull a gap and managed it superbly throughout the race for a flag to flag victory.

Liam :
Qualifying : P1 🏆
Race 1 : P1 🏆 - another hard race against Ross with some moves on the last lap but Liam managed to overtake into the corkscrew to secure P1 and a new lap record.

Sunday

George :
Race 2 : P1 🏆 - another flag to flag victory and less than a tenth off of the lap record. Liam did misread and have him the thumbs up after lap 4 as he thought he had got it, sorry bro 😂

Race 3 : P1 🏆 - new lap record, Georges first in his class. Well done mate absolutely superb.

Liam :
Race 2 : P1 🏆 - Liam took a flag to flag win by a comfortable margin.

Race 3 : P1 🏆 - another comfortable win for Liam.

Anglesey was the perfect weekend for GGL Racing 2 X pole position 6 x wins and 2 x lap records.

Unfortunately no action shots from this weekend as BMB snapshots were not in attendance so you'll have to enjoy Larry and Marcus dancing instead😂 , but thank you for the pitboard it was very useful this weekend.

Thank you to all of the NG Road Racing staff and especially Selina for running such amazing events.

Massive thank you to Marcus from Glyme Construction for his continued support throughout the season.

Cadwell Park ✅

Back-to-back race weekends meant we headed straight from Scarborough to Cadwell. After a highside at Scarborough, we had a full rebuild on our hands—and a broken hand to deal with—all in less than a week. Plenty of late nights and ice baths, but we were ready by Thursday.

The journey didn’t go to plan… an hour up the road the van overheated. No coolant, stopping every 10 miles up the M69—stress levels were high and it made for a very late arrival.

Friday practice went well despite it all. Liam and George got straight on the pace, working on setup. George spent time with SWB Suspension and got the bike dialled in nicely. A small crash at the Gooseneck in the final session meant another rebuild, but nothing Gaz couldn’t handle—ready again for Saturday.

Saturday Qualifying:

George – Pole position with a mega lap 🔥

Liam – Stuck on an old tyre just to secure front row, P2, only 0.015 off pole

Race 1:

George – Dominant. Flag-to-flag win with a 4-second gap 🥇

Liam – Made a move on lap 4 and took the win in a last-lap battle with lappers involved, less than 0.2 separating them 🥇

Sunday Race 2:

George – Dropped to P2 off the start and had an intense race-long battle with Harry Payne. A last lap attempt didn’t quite stick, finishing P2 🥈

Liam – Tough ride with the injured hand but fought through, made the move on lap 5, dealt with heavy traffic again on the last lap, and took another win 🥇

Sunday Race 3:

George – Another brilliant scrap with Harry and Arthur, but a red flag meant results went back a lap after a last lap manouver for the lead —P2 🥈

Liam – Strong start, dropped to P3 early, then battled back. A proper fight with Ross before taking the lead into the final lap and bringing it home for a third win 🥇

Maximum points for Liam and a huge points haul for George—an incredible weekend all round.

The weekend ended the same way it started… van trouble meant we didn’t get home until 4:30am Monday after recovery.

Massive thank you to Mick, Harry, George, and Ella for getting the bikes back safely.

A throwback to Oulton Park last year, where George wrapped up his championship 🏆

We were joined by our aunty, uncle, and cousins, which made it a weekend we’ll never forget.

Lara and Shane not only came along to support us but have also backed GGL Racing for the 2026 season. We couldn’t be more grateful — and it means we get to share plenty more laughs at the racetrack again this year 😁
