This message came in from one of our recent six-week challenge clients — and it genuinely made our day.

Rikki came in feeling unmotivated.

She left having hit a squat PB she’d been chasing for years — one that wasn’t just physical, but mental.

This is what she had to say:

She came in fit. She left strong.

Half marathons. Swimming. Hiking.

Emily had the cardio. She’d never touched a barbell.

6 weeks later — she pulled more than her own bodyweight off the floor.

Fat loss tablets and/or jabs.

They can change your weight, and decrease your hunger but they can’t build your strength.

Here’s what they don’t give you:

❌ Muscle mass
❌ Strength
❌ Bone density
❌ Cardiovascular fitness
❌ The confidence of knowing what your body can do

When you lose weight rapidly, through any method (including dieting), your body doesn’t just lose fat. It loses muscle.

And that’s especially true if your protein intake is low, which unless you are tracking is probably the case while taking GLP-1’s as your appetite is already low.

And muscle is the thing that keeps your metabolism working, your body functional, and your quality of life high as you age.

So to confirm > GLP-1s suppress appetite. They don’t tell your body what to preserve.

Lifting weights while losing means you’re protecting the tissue that matters. Building something that lasts beyond the medication. And developing a relationship with your body that no injection can give you.

We’re not anti-medication. We’re just pro-having a body at the end of it that looks and feels great while being physically capable.

4 months ago walking into SGPT felt intimidating.
Over 60.
Not a gym person.

Think you need to train 5–6 days a week to get results? 👀

Recent research showed:

🏋️ 1–4 sets/week → ~60–65% of available muscle growth

🏋️🏋️ 5–9 sets/week → ~80% of available muscle growth
