Two little angels, or so it looks. Who do you think dragged me to and from the stable today, couldn’t possibly walk next to me, and pulled left and right to get to the juiciest grass that she’s been deprived of all her life….hmmm. And the other one, she keeps clear of all the antics cos one end bites and the other end kicks 🤦‍♀️👩‍🎤

Lyra has had more attention recently and is doing very well at school with Becky. She’s loving having a job ❤️

It was not Golden Horseshoe Ride but our own early morning adventure before it got too hot. We paddled in the stream, cantered through the trees and popped down a few steps back on to the road. There is nothing like crossing the finish line after 40km of Exmoor hills, it was an emotional moment last year - on a pony that never in my wildest dreams did I think would complete such a task. But this year we’re happy pootling around at home supporting others from a far. Another scorching day today - the ponies could be found sensibly hiding from the midday heat in the shelter yesterday - they’re best left to their own devices, I’m not worried, just like in midwinter they go into survival mode 🌞

A year ago she was as fit as a flea and successfully tackled 40km of Exmoor hills. This weekend is the Golden Horseshoe Ride which we will be missing in every capacity. We’ve been for the last 3 years, which is nothing compared to some regulars, but enough to make us realise how iconic this ride is and how wonderful it is to be a part of it. Wishing everyone lots of luck, get round safely and above all enjoy it! We will be back 🐎
