Last night I awarded Kristian Hutt his black belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu, alongside Ben Poppleton Bjj. Kristian has been training with me for 15 years and has been a model for what a black belt represents. He consistently pushes himself and excels in technical knowledge, fighting ability and character, taking on board all of my coaching, being a very supportive team member, and smashing the competition scene.

In response, I've mugged him off with every promotion he's had and this one was no exception. Shane Mansfield made a surprise appearance in Tenerife, interrupted the class and we awarded the belt. Massive appreciation to Shane who had to go above and beyond to make this plan (that I came up with) happen.
