What’s the difference? 🤔

What do you think I’m working on? 🙋🏼‍♂️

Do you practice this?

Tempo ⏳

Tempo is vital in the golf swing because it controls rhythm, timing, and consistency. A smooth, steady tempo helps your body stay in sync, leading to better contact and more reliable shots. It also allows you to generate power efficiently without tension. Good tempo becomes especially important under pressure, helping your swing stay consistent.

Comment below if you want a simple drill to help you improve your tempo!

How many of these do you do? Comment below!

1️⃣ Master your landing spots
Use drills like the ladder drill 🪜 to sharpen your distance control and develop a better feel around the greens. Pick specific landing zones and train your eyes to match carry with rollout. This is key to consistently getting the ball finishing close.

2️⃣ Don’t just practice from one lie. Vary your practice and make it more random. Play shots from different lies, short sided, long sided, over obstacles. This will force you to adapt better, and helps prepare you for what you will inevitably come across on the course 😎

3️⃣ Nail your start line & alignment
Your clubface and body alignment are key. Start the ball on your intended line and you’ll give yourself a much better chance of landing it exactly where you want and get it closer to the hole 🎯 Take a moment to set up properly every time and use gate drills in front of the ball to help guide your start line and improve consistency.

Do this ⬇️⬇️

1. Correct alignment -
Make sure your body alignment is parallel so that your feet, knees, hips and shoulders are all facing the same direction. This will help to ensure you swing down your target line and protect against the 2 way miss. 🛤️

2. Slow Down Your Swing -
Focus on smooth tempo, not trying to hit the ball as hard as possible! Let the club do the work. A controlled swing improves center contact, which adds more distance than brute force 👊🏼

3. Improve Your Grip Pressure
Too tight = no speed and poor control and is one of the biggest things I see with slicers of the golf ball. Hold the club at about 5/10 pressure (firm but relaxed) This allows you to release the clubhead naturally, giving you more club head speed and better face control 🤙🏼

Did these 5 things ⬇️

1 - My golf improved when I stopped tying my value to the number on the scorecard. A score is simply feedback, not a reflection of who I am. Once I separated performance from identity, I played with far more freedom and far less pressure 😌

2 - I improved when I stopped worrying about what others thought of my game. Golf gets heavy when you feel like you’re performing for people. Once I let that go, I was able to play with more confidence and focus on my own process 🙋🏼‍♂️

3 - A big shift came when I focused on the target rather than my swing on the course. When my mind moved onto being obsessed with my target instead of my mechanics, I was able to make free swings 🎯

4 - My putting improved when I accepted that my job is simply to start the ball on line with good pace. After that, whether it goes in or not is out of my control. Some drop, some don’t, and accepting that removed a lot of tension 🧘‍♂️

5 - I got better when I stopped making stupid decisions and started choosing the smartest option available. Instead of forcing shots I focused on positioning and percentages. Consistently making the smarter play led to more stable scores 📊

This is what you need to do⬇️

#1 Stop gripping the golf club with a death grip! Too much tension in grip pressure causes tension in your arms and the rest of your body, leading to poor movement patterns! 🤌🏻

#2 Discover the key components you need to work on in your golf swing. Once you understand what you need to do in your golf swing, practice it as much as you can until it becomes second nature! 🔑

#3 Work on controlling your club face! Start off with slow swings and try to make the ball go left and right. Once you can do this slowly work it faster swings! 🙋🏼‍♂️

Do these 5 things ⬇️

How many of these do you do? 🤔

#1 The best players in the world are target-oriented, not swing-focused. While working on your mechanics is crucial at the driving range, thinking about them during a round can be destructive. Instead, pros focus on their target and trust their swing. Leave the technical thoughts on the range, it’s all about ex*****on on the course 💥

#2 Top pros don’t always go for the pin. Smart course management means they’ll often aim for the middle of the green, even if it’s not the most exciting option. It’s about reducing risk and making calculated decisions. Before going for that tucked flag, ask yourself if it’s really worth the risk 🎯

#3 A solid pre-shot routine is a cornerstone of a pro’s mental game. It helps them block out distractions, calm nerves, and focus on the task at hand. Rushing a shot can lead to poor decision-making and mistakes. Stick to your routine, and you’ll stay in control 📊

#4 Pros only attempt shots they know they can execute. They won’t go for risky hero shots unless they’ve practiced them and are confident in pulling them off. Stop trying to be a hero, play within your abilities, and make the smart play when needed 🦸🏼‍♂️

#5 Resilience is what separates pros from the rest. When things go wrong, they don’t let a bad shot derail their entire round. Bounce back quickly from mistakes, keep a positive mindset, and focus on the next shot. Don’t let frustration take over, move on and stay in the moment 🧠
