π Weβre Hiring: Welfare Officer
Bambers Inclusive Swimming is looking for a caring, reliable and organised self-employed Welfare Officer to support the wellbeing, safeguarding and compliance of our swimmers, families, staff and volunteers.
π Flexible / remote working with occasional pool visits
β° Variable, flexible hours
πΌ Self-employed, paid position β rate to be discussed
What youβll be doing:
β’ Acting as a point of contact for welfare and safeguarding concerns
β’ Supporting swimmers, families, staff and volunteers
β’ Maintaining confidential welfare and safeguarding records
β’ Monitoring DBS checks, safeguarding training and renewal dates
β’ Following up on compliance requirements
β’ Promoting strong safeguarding and welfare practices
β’ Attending occasional swimming sessions when required
Weβre looking for someone who is:
β€οΈ Caring, approachable and a good listener
π Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality
π Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
π¬ Confident communicating with children, families, staff and volunteers
π‘οΈ Able to recognise and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns
βΏ Passionate about inclusion and creating a safe, welcoming environment
Experience in welfare, safeguarding, compliance, swimming, disability or community work would be an advantage.
