As the 2024/25 season comes close to an end, it’s great to see our players still pulling our crucial wins!
4 Mixed matches to debrief this week!…

Mixed 1s - another great win for this team sees them cruise into 2nd place in the league tables. Jonny’s “magic cards” decided the pairings once again, but nothing could stop our A team from winning! 🃏♠️

Mixed 4s - a close 5-4 win sees Mixed 4s top the league table and gain their promotion to Division 1! 🏆 Even the hot, slippy and humid hall couldn’t stop these winners - the only casualty here was Matt breaking 2 strings (☹️). Players of the match must go to Rachel and Isaac who won the important final game to win the league! 🏅🥳

Mixed 3s - yet another very close win with all pairs giving it their very best! Player of the match definitely goes to Annette for her devastating net play and powerful smashes! 💥🤩

Mixed 5s - a great 7-2 win sees Mixed 5s secure their promotion for next season! 🥇🔝 Special mention goes to Sunil who played in his first mixed match of the season! Also, thanks to Ling’s parents who came to support this fantastic win after a long flight to the UK! ✈️

A fantastic few weeks for BFBC sees 2 of our Men’s teams topping their leagues and guaranteeing promotion! And Ladies 2s also getting promoted! 👏

Open 4s - a very close match for the 4s just falling short to a strong team from RR. Moment of the match must to go Meng and Elliot coming back from 18-14 down to take the set 22-20. Hard lines guys! ❤️

Open 3s - a very dominant performance sees Open 3s win Division 3 and guarantee promotion for next season!!! 🏆 Very well done to the whole team who were able to claim 6/6 wins, having only dropped 6 rubbers the whole season!! 🏅

Ladies 2s - what an awesome night for these ladies taking a brilliant 8-1 victory! This means they leap over Bingham to take 2nd in the league and are now promoted to the Premier Division!! 🔝🙌 (See the team photo for a surprise!… 😉)

Open 2s - another 8-1 win against the toughest team in Division 1 sees Open 2s top the league and get promoted to Prem once again! 🥇Special thanks must go to Ernest for stepping in and winning some fantastic games with our stand in captain for the night Ben! Another undefeated 6/6 for BFBC this season! 🏆

Open 2s- The main news is that the Dynamic Duo of James Ng and Isaac are back in action! The fans have been long awaiting the famous duo’s return, and they are back in style taking all 3 games! 🧨😎

Open 4s- a dominant performance taking home a perfect 9-0 victory! 💪

Open 1s- The final match of the season sees Open 1s top of the league winning 6/6 matches this year! Finishing on a 9-0 win against Mansfield! 🏆

Ladies 1s- A close 5-4 victory for our girls! With 1 match left to play, will the ladies regain the Premiership title?… 🏅

Here are a few honourable mentioned from the past week!

Open 3s - Players of the match go to Meng and Suli for an outstanding 21-1 win! How Meng was able to last that long without a mistake is anyone’s guess… 🤔

Mixed 3s- A sad goodbye to Harry, who played in his last match for BFBC this season! He was still able to bring back 3 huge wins! 😢

Ladies 2s- Congrats to Jessie who played in her first ladies match of the year! A close fought 5-4 loss - hard lines ladies! (Swipe to see Minnie travelling in the boot of the car!) 🚗
