A little thought for parents as the new school year begins ❤️
One of the lovely things about working with children is seeing how differently they grow in confidence.
For some children, it happens in the classroom. For others, it might be through football, music, drama, art, dance — or simply finding a group where they feel comfortable being themselves.
I've taught children who were initially incredibly shy, reluctant to perform or convinced they “weren't good at dancing”, and watched them gradually find their voice, make friends and become much more confident.
It reminded me that children don't all need to be good at the same things.
They just need opportunities to discover what makes them feel capable, happy and proud of themselves.
So as our local children head into a new school year, let's celebrate all the different ways they learn, grow and shine. ✨
Wishing all the children (and parents!) in our Chichester community a very happy start to the new term.
From all of us at RSSD, have a wonderful week.❤️
